Can somebody please tell BMW not to merge their headlights with their grills GOD DAMN IT !!!

. Now all of their cars look exactly the same from the front. And by same I mean ugly.

When are the Germans going to give up on this family-look atrocity? Its getting rather ridiculous!

Although I liked the F10 more than the E60, both cars had their own character. F10 with that understated elegance and perfect proportions, and E60 with that rogue aggression. Now the 5 is just a larger 3! Imagine scampering for a measuring tape just to convince your neighbor that you own a 5 and not a 3 :P Yeah I know, things aren't gonna be that bad, but they might as well market this as a 3-er EWB. Come on BMW!

I believe the headlight and the grille integration idea is best suited to the 3 series only (where the entire bulk of the headlight is not integrated but only a line to add connection), the X5, upcoming 7 & now this looks weird IMO.

Much better interior treatment - leather dash (from Toyota Boshoku

), back to driver-focused layout for the center console and hopefully with a manual option in the States. Clearly they've been burnt by the upped quality of the Benz C- & E- cars new interiors taking it upmarket form the plastics.

The car will be offered as a sedan (G30), with a wagon (G31) and a GT (G32) joining in at a later stage. According to a report by Autocar UK, the car has entered its final stages of development and it will make its public debut at the Paris motor show next year, with sales in the UK expected to begin in early 2017.
