According to the dealer in New Delhi even SX will get the updated headlights and alloys. Additional features SX(O) now has are push start, keyless entry, leather package and chrome package and the variant costs 85k more than the standard SX variant.
Wait, they have removed the side & curtain airbags as well? And added DRLs? Is this what counts now as a facelift? Tragic that safety and quality are being compromised again. I expect better from Hyundai.
Hyundai must have responded to customer feedback. Many buyers see side airbags as an unnecessary expense- both at the time of purchase, and when repairing after an accident.
That might be an ignorant approach, and perhaps the manufacturer is callous in listening to it, but at least in my part of the country, no passenger other than the driver wears seat belts- even the driver belts up due to strict policing, not out of any safety sense- and airbags have questionable effectiveness if one is not properly belted up.
And, what use if you have even 16, not 6, airbags if a moron driving a 31 tonne 4 axle tipper runs over you with one hand on the wheel, one hand on his phone & both eyes looking out for the police who are out to check if he has overloaded his truck?
Guys, is there a way to incorporate speed sensing door locks in Hyundai Fluidic SX 1.6 crdi ? It comes in Sx(O) variant.

Try asking the dealer / sales manager if there is any possibility for this option in the SX variant?
Anurag.
The new Verna DOES get projectors (single) and DRLs/LED lights and the new design alloys. My neighbor bought a new black car - top end yesterday. It's got these and the other features like backlit stalks, buttons etc.
Looks super cool!

My friend went to the nearest Hyundai showroom to get details/info about the Verna diesel topend automatic variant. He was also informed that the vehicle is coming with projector lamps etc.
In Bangalore the prices for Verna - Projector Headlamps are as below
Petrol
VTVT SX (O) - 9.78L
VTVT SX (O) AT - 10.52L
Diesel
CRDI SX (O) - 11.14L
CRDI SX (O) AT - 11.89L
This means that the cost increase is Rs. 27,000 for the projector headlamps
Cheers

Did you compare new price with the older SX(O) that had side curtain airbags?
If that is the case, the projector headlamps are priced at 27k + price of side curtain airbags!
Hyundai has revealed an updated Accent in the USA. The car receives a few design changes and additional equipment.

Good news. I do hope Hyundai introduces it in India early in its lifecycle, and gives us the 6 speed auto as well.

Projectors are a welcome addition. But 27K for just the projectors is not justifyable . Is there any other additions?
This makes life easier for HID retrofit!

Hey KPS,
The prices that you have mentioned here are OTR Bangalore right ? Please confirm this, as I feel I was quoted a very different figure the last time I inquired.

Is there any chance that we will get a Six Speed Auto in India. If not they can bid adieu to their hopes for this car, when the Honda City arrives. Com'on Hyundai lets get a proper transmission worthy of this car.
