Cant promise you that. You can book it at any Ford dealer nearest to you. I am sure if you book it on the first day you will get it from the first lot.

It's going to be a CBU right? I don't see why they would have any problem ordering a manual. Apart from stocking the gearbox related spares. But looking at how bad the Germans are with stocking spares, and us waiting for them every time, it's not going to be an issue that can't be dealt with.

It's gonna be a CBU. The knowledge I have is that one car got Approved at ARAI is the one with the auto transmission. People in India expect that any car above 40L should have an Auto transmission. No one is going to pay so much for a manual. They only trying to keep the regular Joe happy. But in future after when they see the mustang being a popular choice they might get the manual.

Great news ksgehlot !!!!

Is it going to be a GT or GT Premium?

The GT V8 retails for around $33-34k and the GT Premium for $37-38k in the US.

50L seems still acceptable but the on road prices will take it close to 65L.

I thought the opposite would be the case, considering the nature of the car. For that segment, people would rather prefer a manual, than an automatic. Of course, those buying the car to make a statement, yes. But enthusiasts, they'd like the manual please.

I don't really know. These are minor details which I don't have. Will get to know when they will make it official for dealers.

I know that a proper enthusiast would prefer a manual but in the end, with the Indian traffic conditions, people would prefer a performance car to have some sort of practical usage as well which the automatics with paddles would give and that's exactly what all the performance cars over 40L provide.

Even the rumored Polo GTI 1.8 is rumored to have a DSG with paddle shifters.

Even though the Automatic Transmission is a dual clutch and with paddle shifters if you plan to burn some rubber. So not really concerned with the transmission.

re: Ford Mustang coming to India. EDIT: Launched at 65 lakhs

The auto expo is getting close, so I request all the Mustang fans or soon to be owners to please spam Ford India to launch the V8 with a manual box. I've been doing it for a while but never get a response. Lets build the pressure

The automatic Mustang sold in US does not come with a dual clutch & I seriously doubt it being made available with a DCT elsewhere.

Also for what its worth, the Auto Mustangs are quicker & more fuel efficient than manual ones.
