Watch this space.
As far as the ACI review is concerned, they have filmed a yellow Mustang in their entire video and when it comes to interior footages, one can easily see a red ORVM. Makes me wonder if they really got a chance to drive the Mustang on the track or maybe they just drove a red Mustang in the lanes alongside the BIC while they filmed a yellow Mustang on the track?

Re: Ford Mustang coming to India. EDIT: Launched at 65 lakhs

May be the international magazines were wrong about the Mustang mate

First off, its a muscle car that's sits higher than the Germans, it may lack the finesse of the Germans in handling, but then to complain of body roll in it takes some special skill! I am sure ACI has it

Here is the ACI review. The review comes off as very amateurish. Is that a new guy they got?

Re: Ford Mustang coming to India. EDIT: Launched at 65 lakhs

Didn't realise that Ford India would be so quick on the draw with its blunders.

Launching a non track car on a track?? What were they thinking ? A 5.0 litre V8 qualifies a Grand Tourer as a track car ? The right way to high light the strengths of the Mustang (and it has many) would have been to have done the launch abroad in one of those great driving roads that bring out the Mustang's many strengths. What Ford India has instead done is to launch the car on a track that actually serves to highlights its limitations and the purpose for which it was not built rather than bringing out its strengths.

It's a bit like Skyline GT-R and its track equivalent Nismo. While the Skyline GT-R would certainly do better than a Mustang on a track, it's elder brother Godzilla Senior would leave it for dead on a track.

Is it because of the higher costs involved or because their "other car is a Figo" that they overlooked these points?

In many ways it's good for Ford India that the journo's were inexperienced as the experienced ones would have had video clips showing the blown engines.

We'll have to wait and watch as Ford India rolls out this circus.

I just hope they don't turn the Mustang into too much of a clown.

Shocked at poor rating for Handling and Sound. Unbelievable for Fords.
Anyways congrats and enjoy the beast.
Comprehensive review awaited.

Congratulations gemballa.

I also took (Only a Snap ) the beast when I visited US some time back. It was looking stunning in that colour.

Re: Ford Mustang Gt y

Congrats on the beast! Hope you enjoy the V8 growl and the intense torque

Here's my car (blue GT) along with my colleague's (orange GT). He's made some very tasty modifications to his car. You might wanna consider those

You have to look at Gemballa's other cars to understand what he's used to - link. The Mustang can't hold a candle to the Germans he's had in his garage.

Even when viewed independently, there are better handling cars you can buy for 80 lakhs. But then, how many of them make you feel as special as the Mustang .

Well then a score of 8 and 9 for suspension and speed? Is the Mustang so good vis a vis the Germans?

Felt that the ratings weren't consistent with what I have read about the Mustang so far. So wanted to understand the owner's perspective.

Until Gemballa steps in, I think he meant 'ride quality' by his suspension rating (since handling got a separate mention). And speed? Well, that engine is a beast!
