Is this "XL5" a 7-seater? Why this is doing rounds in "Wagon-R 7-seater" thread?

Anyway, I don't like car names based on its number of seats. Suzuki has 2 cars - XL6 and XL7 when the only difference is number of seats. Upcoming Kia Carnival has multiple seat options - 7 / 8 / 9. Will they call them Carnival7, Carnival8 and Carnival9?

The so called XL 5 is nothing but the premium variant of the WagonR, something like the WagonR Stingray we had for the previous generation WagonR.

Renault must bring in their 1.0L turbo petrol Triber to India before the WagonR 7 seater is launched.

Same video was shared as Wagon r EV, are we sure what this actually is, or since we do not have clarity publishing at both places.

Maruti reacting to Renault then. I said in another thread that Renault is the only one MS sees as a potential threat. Hyundai is busy trying to establish products above 10 lakh price point while Renault/Nissan are going to match MS models in the sub 10lakh price point and even undercut them with equally unsafe vehicles to make inroads into mass market segment.

Don't know how this is going to fare? yes, being a Maruti helps but Maruti desperately needs to "add" to new products to it's portfolio, rather than rehash old designs with extra space and features. A question though - i believe this will be below 4 metres in length or will it be more?

What next? A brezza 7 seater with a Maruti badge and a probably a cross badged Toyota too .

These are clear indications that Maruti is serious about having a product to compete with Triber, it'll gather even more steam in the post covid world.

The car seems to have Ignis alloys.

Triber has definitely been a hit for Renault, so Maruti definitely wants to cash in on it.

OT: The bike sounds soooo good. I was glued onto that more than the car.
