The cruise control buttons have moved from the left stalk to the steering wheel's left spoke.
Good point, this is the standard one on the Vento and Polo right? Surprising that a refreshed Jetta does not get a better one in the lower variants.

I thought there would be a 10bhp bump in power. So the Octavia and A3 share the same engine with a different tune from the new Jetta?? Makes no sense

No comfortline DSG diesel and no 1.4 TSI with 7 speed DSG either. VW are really not understanding changing market.

Toyota is selling 1000 Corolla Altis, majority of them being 22L 7 speed petrol AT every month.

In comparison VW have again come with just one DSG model that too top end diesel which will probably be at 25L now.

The Comfortline DSG diesel and 1.4TSI petrol comfortline DSG would have widened the appeal and brought it within striking distance of the Altis.

There has gotta be some kind of typo in that brochure. I highly doubt the manual can be that much more than the DSG, if it is more efficient at all. I think the manual was supposed to read 16.33kmpl.

I thought of that too.
But these were the exact same figures Vw India had on the website before launch as well.

Maybe it's the way they tune their engines.
I know for a fact that Skoda Laura DSG was much more efficient than manual and that was reflected on the brochure as well.

But even the Jetta Manual TDI is really efficient.
I have covered 4k over 3 months and getting close to 19-20 kmpl.

I guess it was always a reach to expect a sunroof but I'm a little disappointed that they left out memory seats & reverse cameras.

re: Rumour: VW Jetta facelift launching soon in India *EDIT: launched!*

Volkswagen is all set to launch the facelifted version of their D1 segment sedan - the Jetta. The new car is set to make its debut on the 17th of February. In the run up to the launch, images from the car's brochure have been leaked.

Engine options remain the same 2.0-litre TDI diesel (138 BHP/320 Nm) and 1.4-TSI petrol (121 BHP/200 Nm), with transmission options including a 6 speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed DSG automatic. The petrol will come in the Trendline and Comfortline variants with the 1.4 TSI mated to only the 6-speed manual. The 2.0 TDI on the other hand is available in the top end Highline variant as well, with the 6-speed DSG auto-box offered on the top end diesel alone.

Going by the leaked brochure, the facelift sees an 15 mm increase in length and wheelbase. The petrol is lighter by 49 kgs, while the diesel manual and automatic are lighter by 44 kgs and 21 kgs respectively.

Now with these changes, Octavia makes more sense than the Jetta. Wonder why VW wants to kill VW!!

Well, the autocar preview says that the engines are the new ones which are to be found in the octavia. So thats a major upgrade, as the 1.4 TSi in the Octavia is peppier.

re: Rumour: VW Jetta facelift launching soon in India *EDIT: launched!*

Well I expected something better from VW. If not the sun roof then atleast the 150bhp engine and DSG in CL. Looks like they are not interested in giving it any major update as of now. Really disappointed.

BTW, is this the last update we get here in the 6th gen Jetta?

So all we get is a nip and tuck job? You had one job VW, just add a DSG to the comfort line diesel and watch the orders flow in. Indians love their diesel cars and an automatic transmission would have gone a long way to boosting sales of the Jetta. Disappointing that all we've got is an aesthetic update and a few aerodynamic updates. The least that could be done was a bump in power on the diesel! I struggle to understand VW's logic. Why force everyone to stretch for the Highline if they want a diesel automatic?
