Thanks neo_trace for the brochure. The interiors in it (VX trim I presume) look good save for the fake wood trim. I hope Tatas sort out the first gear problem soon. I can't wait to TD it myself.

BTW, the 9.38L for 4x2 EX is the OTR right? Old one was 8.2L ex-showroom in Bangalore.

I think the first gear problem is going to be a issue for some time until the gearbox beds in(runin) as its ratio is quiet high as compared to 3 ltr gearbox. I had the same problem with 1st gear initally but as the time flies its getting more softer to engage. (Unless the synchro ring on the first gear wasnt working properly )

Didn't realize that 3L Dicor also has the same problem. When I TD'ed it, it must been run-in because I didn't experience it.

In city = Inside the limit of the municipal corporation hence octroi will be added in OTR price

out city = outside the limit of the municipal corporation so no octroi.

Is it a problem with the gearwbox or simply with clutch 'adjustment'?
If 1st gear gives this problem, it ought to also show up on reverse gear, IF it is clutch related.

This radically designed wheel cover on back resembles to FIAT Idea adventure (half open), though the one present in FIAT Idea adventure looks good and more macho I think.

Neo, Terrific work, We had to see it before the launch [brochure + photos] to justify this 100+ pages effort by all safari fanatics.

Also thanks much for the info on LX coming on Diwali.

But that 'radically designed' spare wheel cover looks sad.

I am just about now okay with the front grill but the wheel cover still is so awful, hope they change by the time LX launches.

brochure says it is certified xxx under european regulations and there is a pic of the crash test, BUT does not mention how many stars has it actually gained. guess that is the imp bit than just getting it tested
