If one dosen't like the grille, can you not replace it with the older one?
is there a difference in size between the two?

Thanks Tusky!

Is a cheap grill a business secrete! why do they have to hide a small thing like a grill!! It looks yukk any way, i thought the middle line in the grill should have been much thinner.

Hey good one Tushky...

Was there any badge to identify this has 2.2 ltr.?
No where in the picture we could see any 2.2 written?

Was the exported version RHD or LHD? Cos this one is Right Hand Drive....

If it is Indian one then we can expect this in Show room by Oct 07.

Regards
Deepak

You think a 3 litre engine that pulls 2.5 tonnes and returns 11 kmpl with AC in town is a guzzler? What do you drive, a Reva?!

Now this is very good news. And bad news. The good news would be the 2.2 powertrain. Far powerful than the DICOR, & lighter than the 2.0 TCIC IDI, this engine could be the best thing yet for the Safari.

The bad news would be the stop-gap arrangement; instead of introducing the all new X2, Tata's still plonking the 2.2 in the old Safari...which means that the "new" 2.2 Safari, when launched before Diwali, will already be outdated....

At least the handling & dynamics would be restored...

Nice one there, tushky...looking forward to this one...

Hey Varun.ppl. Not sure what is the scale for calling a vehicle fuel guzzeler. I mean this is the biggest engine on teh road now..bigger than scorpio, innova and scorpio and still gives the best mileage of at least 10.5KMPH in city.

And is it the Ltr that matters to calculate fuel efficiency. I mean 3 Ltr is a 115 BHP engine and 2.2Ltr will be a 137BHP - 142BHP one.

Do you think that It can manage to give better fuel efficiency??? I am "DOUBTFUEL", I mean DOUBTFUL....
