Curiosity is increasing by every passing hour. If a Tata executive happens to visit this thread, I think he'll go gaga over the amount of curiosity this Beast has created (50 Pages, 750 Posts)

This is surely one of the most eagerly waited cars on this forum. Good to see that the 3.0 dicor owners are also very keen.

Yes,

Looks like this is the most anticipated "Upgrade" ever! Some "New Launches" don't get so much buzz.

The Beast is well on the way to becoming an Indian Auto Icon!

Now I do hope 15th Aug. will also be our Independence Day from this gut wrenching, ulcer inducing wait!!!

TATA don't let us down!!!

I don't think thats a very good idea, on a purely speculative thread.

I saw a few of LHD 2.2 DICORs with unpainted doors today on my way to work. I wonder if they have started exporting this already...?

I think they were imported since quite a long time in Italy.

AFAIK, they've been exporting the 2.2l DICOR Safari for quite some time now.

I'm pretty sure I remember seeing a quite a few in the Tata motors facility in Pune around June 2006, when I completed my final year engineering project there. I dont know if those were export vehicles or test vehicles.

Then again, I'm quite bad with dates, so I could be completely off the mark.

But the fact still remains TATA is not going to tell its dealers the launch date till the night before...so what the dealers say about the launch date at the moment must be taken with a bucket of salt.
