Heck the new wheel cover atleast in this picture is pathetic. The older one is a lot better.

Now Auto Magazines should have a new award.

Most over hyped car of the year 2006-2007 - The 2.2L Tata Safari.

Beige theme is extended to the spare wheel

Well we are to blame for this hype. TATA people surely did not hype it neither did the auto mags. Despite knowing the tata history we raised our expectations to unreasonable levels and are not lamenting their being not fulfilled.

Here it goes.

Net is slow, will update one by one.

The new engine is called 2.2VTT Dicor.

Front Grill

Huge bonus news.

2.2 is coming in LX version also, it will be launched after 2-3 months only.

The one line for the new beauty is " It does not live upto the TBHPians expectations". - Seems One hundred % true

Some of the changes:

1. New front Grill - Were you able to manage a picture ??
2. Beige color interiors ( i say it is a paint job, it looks like they have painted beige on black ) - Dampener
3. There is no change in Interiors ( disappointing )
4. There is change in Suspensions ( a small change only ) - Need to run it out for the actual improvements to show
5. Engine Noise is reduced by 50% - The best improvement, along with the engine
6. Body rattling has reduced ( atleast in the vehicle we were ) - Good to know, but werent they supposed to remove it completely
7. Dint see any change in the rear seats / baby seats.
8. Stepney cover is changed - Phew! what a change, hope they move back to the current one.
9. Pick up is ultimate - Engine seems responsive
10. City drive made easy ( we were doing 30km/hr in third gear ) - Another good change for city runs
11. AC is better that earlier
12. Price bit high ( am ready to pay if it is for engine / will not pay if it is for beige interiors, its still a poor quality interiors) - Do you have the pricing ?, please share.

If forgotten something will update the same.

Mods i am not able to post pics, please help me.

Regards Deepak

But overall a very good effort from you in sharing with us the new features and the very first pictures , thanks !!
