Hey SUV...I have been DESPERATELY waiting for this 2.2 Lt model......One of the dealers in Gurgaon, Dhingra Motors told me that this model will be available in September 2007.......Another dealer in Delhi, HIM Motors told me that this will be around June 2007...to be honest I was really disappointed since I have to buy a Car NOW.......It will be Awesome if this version is launched in december/january......PLEASE give us the launch dat!!!

Hope they give a lighter vehicle (while retaining the safety aspects) with a better power to weight ratio and a product that has been tested exhaustively.

Awesome, Did someone notice that TATAs have the maximum number of debuts in the event (total of 8). Also all of TATA products are debuts. ISUZU has the next largest consignment of products, but then they are not debuts..

So it's confirmed that the new cars debut on Dec 07-17, when do we get to get our hands on them is the question??

I made a post here. Can't see it now. Anyways i will make it again. I am glad that TATA has changed that horrid Dicor engine they have in the Safari right now. It's really pathetic. So it the quality. They gotta work on that also.

So this shows that either Tata has become patriotic and stopped using indians and started using europeans as guniea piggs for their products, OR, they have improved their quality to such a confidance inspiring levels that they have more conviction to release their products in highly competative markets.

I forget who, but some one on here drove the 2.2 L DICOR Safari a while ago, so I assume they've been road tested. However, it is surprising that no one has managed a spy pic of this beast so far. I am hoping to wait till April before pulling the plug on something else, so it would be ideal if Tata launches this in January and initial kinks get worked out. I for one am not holding my breath though.
