This thread just goes on without any purpose. No authentic info on the changes at all. I think this thread had lost its purpose after the first couple of posts. No one has added anything to this thread after the pic was posted.

That I dont appreciate the minor touchup being given to safari but definitely the engine changes. Looks much better now than the masked picture, thanks tushky

Tushky has posted "how it might look" since he's the only one here having seen the 2.2 with his own eyes.

Forums/thread enable you to share your opinions, there is a purpose to everything.

Lets not turn this into another 2.2 thread please. The car is around the corner - its just a matter of which of the next two corners. Please stop speculating and discuss Tushky's pics.

While I was walking on the road today, noticed similar grills being used in Qualis, Old version of Santro and Old Zen.

I would say the concept of the grill was similar with thick borders and line in the center, with some variations ofcourse, never thought the grills could make such a difference.

2.2 upgrade is very close now - news I received which has been corroborated by Dr. Kats' sources. Anyday.

So thats good news. Saw same photo in autocar magazine this month as tusky loaded here. I hope they improve interiors with some luxury feel. May be they bring better Petrol Safari version so I can shop for one If not I will buy Diesel one for sure next year!

I am looking forward to see the new safari in showrooms very soom.

Instead of speaking to sales guy regarding the 2.2, i thought will speak to somebody who is more effective in news...... so Just spoke to one of the drivers from one of the dealer....he said the vehicle is already there in some of the dealers stock yard...& we can expect launch news in next couple of days.... ( the sales guy was not in scene when i was speaking)

After sales guy came, i again wanted to get more info on the 2.2 & asked the driver again, this time he said "sir i dont no anything about this"

Think the information is kept secretly at present......

I also saw their stock list & noticed some of the Safaris lying in the stockyard for more than 2 months
