Has to be a typo that time is simply not possible in any car maunfactured in India. That kind of times are schieved by cars like the BMW 330i not a 1.6 L Ford Fiesta!

they must have meant 0-60 and some wise @$$ writting the article or spec sheet, must have thought mph and converted it, 6.1 for fiesta is impossible, anyhow it must be 0-60kmph.

I thought only scooters used 0-60 km/h timings, but nowadays even car manufacturers like Fiat Palio and now Ford are using this extremely low benchmark to tout their wares.

Non-sense. May be a genuine error! Strange to read the top speed as 155 kmph. Is that an error too? A 88 BHP Swift does 170 +

How come ford is bluffing? Its the topgear people who are smoking something.
I have found their reviews and stats a little bit off with most cases.

top[ speeds are electronically limited. my 3 series bmw was top speed controlled at 128 MPH but i several times did 140 MPH+ without doing any modifications. on further research i found out that BMW had forgotten to put in the limiter
and several times the speedometer is of especiallt at such high speeds.

I saw an empty patch and had just got the petrol filled, wanted to check the 0-100 timing of the car as my car has just done 3500kms. As per company figures Fiesta 1.6 does 0-100 in 11.43.

BTW I was not using any specific timing gauge to measure the time, but I am sure I must have done 0-100 in around 10 seconds or slightly less.

Please confirm how can I measure the exact timings?

That topgear article is crap. I have personally gone upto 160 @ <5000 rpm, and provided more space was there, it was begging for more..so this 165 limit is all bs.

Even 0-100 is more towards what Ford Brochure claims (11.43 secs), and can be achieved with proper rev-matching while up-shifting.

The top speeds mentioned by the car manufacturer are not to be confused with the maximum speed the machine can attain. You can easily do more than their given maximum while going downhill. Don't be ridiculous.
