I would refrain from accusing any industry or some company to accuse them without having facts. Recalling a vehicle affects the bottom line, since it's a cost, and if the company is so concerned about revenues and profits, why not work towards doing it correct the first time. Automobile industry overall has quite a experienced industry with extensive data and research being done, so they can do things well. Above all, they too are dealing with human lives, so they have to be more sensitive than just revenue. Why do we need to wait only to some enforcing agency, is it not part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for all business houses, irrespective of the business they are in. |
