Though the two cars are in two different leagues, the Ford has a lot of resemblance w.r.t the Fiat Viaggio. Given the history of Fiat India and its product launches at snail's pace, chances are we will see the Ford in our roads first even though the Viaggio is a production car. Here goes another opportunity for the Italian carmaker.

What a day it is great under 4 meter sedan launches from 2 companies who have problems with A.S.S. - Tata with competency & Ford with costs. Hopefully both these are working on the problems.

Well there you go. The "Figo Concept" has been officially revealed by Ford. Looks like a decent job done by Ford Engineers. Resemblance to Honda Amaze is very much evident though. Lets see when actual car comes into the market.

It's year of compact sedans with 3 launches in 2 days(grand i10 CS tomorrow). Tata Zest also has DRLs, looks like they are a new flavor now!

These are "AMAZE"ing days for the Indian automobile industry. The compact sedan segment is a such a perfect fit product for the huge middle class who love to buy a sedan over a hatchback for about the same price. Zest, this car and the i10 grand sedan will shake the market. It'll be interesting to note the sales figure of these cars when they will be on roads and it's affect on the Amaze and Dzire.

Is this indeed less than 4m ? Looks like its bigger than that.

Anyways, its good that customers are going to get benefit as lots of cars are coming. Customers will have lots of choice now. Hope they price it well too. With so many compact sedans, i guess in near future i can see decline in the sales of the hatchbacks like Figo, Polo, Swift (maybe), i20 etc.

If we look at the history, any new cars, if it is not a maruti hasn't dented the sales of a maruti car. Whatever cannibalization happens in terms of sales, happens due to some or other Maruti car only. Amaze would have tough times ahead. Rest of the cars wont be impacted at all.

True, Amaze will take a hit. All 4 cars will battle out with each other. But I think with so many options Dzire will also feel the heat. Even grand i10 is giving hard time to Swift.
