it will be an amazing car but not many will go for it...6.5 too expensive for a hatch plus its chevrolet so low fe...add a lakh more and go for nhc...better fe..spares not expensive...

Any big hatch will meet the same fate as Palio and Fusion. It will be considered by regular hatch owners who expect cheaper tag and high FE. If GM is smart, they'll drop this idea and instead concenterate on the Aveo and Spark.

It was supposed to be here by this time, but looks like its been delayed till Q2 2006.

Have a look at this link :

http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/...ow/1239853.cms

If its a lakh cheaper than the base Optra , we are looking at a price of about 6.25 L ..which I think is a great price , but then it would be difficult for GM to convince the Indian costomer to part with 6 L for a hatchback ... or a notchback whatever.

The site is to be updated with full details in next 15 - 20 days..

The car is supposed to be 'sporty'. I dont want to comment until i see more pictures.

I for one qouldnt think twice before buying the SRV. Its been at the back of my head ever since I first saw the pictures. I dont need a car with a boot, what are back seats for anyway?

I would rather go for the 1.8L version than the 1.6L one. Had enough fun in my GTX already. Hmmm... a 1.8L SRV in glossy black with 15 inchers.... some time later next year maybe.

Did I ever tell you about this, Harrie? Or you can just read my mind?

I don't think there's going to be a 1.8 version. At least the website doesn't say so. Looks neat though.

I doubt an auto will be an option on this Navin. Considering that it is pegged as a "sporty" car.

I guess its gonna be launched very soon. Seen a undisguised blue Optra SRV yesterday. Had a Temporary registration. MH-01-TC. I almost mistook it for an Alfa Romeo 147 when i saw it from behind.

Chevrolet SRV launch

Has anyone seen the SRV on the road or in an Auto show?
http://www.chevrolet.co.in/content_d...optra_srv.html

It looks like a spiffy sportback, with a 1.6 liter engine, alloy wheels, and airbags. Any word on the pricing?

have seen it in flesh a lot of times undergoing test runs on the greater noida expressway.the pictures have been posted on another thread, just search for it.it looks beautiful but i dont think it will sell in high numbers as its goin to be very expensive for a hatchback, thats what the indian buyer's perception is goin to be .hell it's my perception too
