watched this alongwith the volvo news last night, and incase some people do not know about this, Gm plans to introduce cng and diesel versions of the SRV and Optra soon enough, 2-3 weeks for the cng optra. Wonder if the ocatavia is going to experience a serious drop in sales.

Seems there's an optional package for the SRV and with it the car costs 7.51 Ex-showroom Delhi. Anyone know what that include?

I seriously feel taht GM could have done better with the fron end of the car. The front end of teh Optra looks real nice, but the SRV reminds me of teh last generation civic.

other than that the car looks quite good and sporty

Yes, it is overpriced but i am going to check it out tomorrow... definitely GM is crazy to launch at this price tag... Killing own market of Aveo.... i was happy to know a new model is out but these people dont do good pricing....

Any ideas what will be the price of Optra CNG and launch date?

Sorry to ask here ... but is Aveo a good buy? I am on a look out of a new car next month....

My estimate

kerb weight: approx 75kg lower than the Optra sedan
gear ratio: most likely same as Optra 1.6 trans.

the pictures posted here are MUCH better than those on the GM website!!!

Good looking automobile. But don't know if the indian customer will drop everything else and go for it..... that little box at the rear end (a.k.a boot / dicky!) is all so important to us !

Pixxx !!!!!!

Ok here are a few of pics taken at the showroom

Notes : 1. The Car looks awesome in real, but just look at the sticker PRICE(OTR). What is GM thinking?

2. The car will be available for test drive from next week.

3. This particular color comes at a premium of 3K

4. Premium Hatchback feel, way better than getz and swift

5. In the showroom ppl were more keen on AVEO than SRV.

6. Thanks to SHIVA motors for allowing us to take pics

cheers
