Indeed, shocking news.

Looks like ill-luck gripping Tata motors; as someone has mentioned it will be a Herculean task just find a replacement.

RIP Mr. Slym. :-(

Re: Tragic News! Karl Slym - MD of Tata Motors - passes away in Bangkok

This is extremely tragic and it comes as a bolt out of the blue.

R.I.P. Karl Slym. You will be truly missed.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family - may the Almighty God be with them and give them the strength to bear this sudden and tragic loss.

He was instrumental in leading the Chevrolet ship out of stormy, choppy waters that could have sunk the brand in India. As an Indophile, he just couldn't stay away from the country for long and he was like a ray of hope for a troubled Tata Motors. Just as he was making the much needed, fundamental changes which would have turned the company around, this tragic event has happened.

His untimely demise comes as a blow to those who were expecting great things from Tata Motors due to his magic. This is very, very saddening.

That's really shocking news, certainly most shocking after death of paul walker.

It's a great loss to tata motors, I had really high hopes on him to turn around tata's fortune. Just when his efforts started showing up, he left.

RIP Karl slym.

Re: Tragic News! Karl Slym - MD of Tata Motors - passes away in Bangkok

Was just browsing through the latest news on NDTV's website when I came across this shocking news. Can't believe this just happened. And what a tragic way to go.

Always enjoyed his interviews on the various TV shows. He always came across as someone who understood the Indian market and the Indian consumer. I find myself shaking my head in disbelief as I type this.

R.I.P. Karl.

May God give his family the courage and fortitude to deal with this tragic loss.

SHOCKING! Cannot believe that the man is gone. So dynamic and so lively. He was taking a lot of initiatives for the good of TML and just when things would have start showing, he is not there. By his actions it looked like he was determined to bring TML back on track with his innovative ideas.
RIP Mr. Karl Slym. May the family find courage and love to deal with the loss.

Strange that there is nothing in the TV news. Bad roads for TML ahead.
