Renault @ Auto Expo 2014

The Renault stall displayed the recently launched Koleos facelift, the Fluence facelift, a Duster Adventure Edition, a standard Duster, a Scala with a new paint job, the Megane RS couple, the Zoe electric car, and the Kwid concept which left us drooling.

We'll start off with a look at the Koleos facelift. The variant displayed at the stall was the 4x4 automatic.

Renault have given the car a new grille and bumper at the front.

Renault launched the Fluence facelift at the Expo. The car is available in two trim levels, E2 and E4, which are priced at Rs. 14.22 lakh and Rs. 15.81 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), respectively.

We expected the Duster to be displayed at the Auto Expo, but Renault had other ideas. An "Adventure Edition", which is nothing but a sticker and plastic cladding job was displayed.

The bumper has a plastic bull-bar with additional auxilliary lamps.

Thank you very much Aditya for the great pictures and the highlights !!!
  • Scala - freshly painted and looks chic!

The visual updates are nice, but if the updates on Renault website are to be believed, there are no changes to the engine, gearbox etc. I was expecting some updates as they were actually testing around the camouflaged specimens of the facelift.
And also, the petrol variant was missing from the website.

Re: Renault @ Auto Expo 2014

Bring the megane to india, it will eat the likes of i20 and Swift, Polo. Looks very hot !

Could we get more pictures of the Fluence ?

Indians like butch SUVs, Koleos looks like a confused SUV, with no appeal.

Re: Renault @ Auto Expo 2014

Oh, please tell me Kwid has 4WD with low ratio. Many of us would kill for that short chassis & ADR angles.

The Megane is a C-segment car. If launched in India, it might retail around the 15L price bracket and will not compete with the i20, Swift, Polo or other hatchbacks in this segment which are way cheaper in comparison. This car is supposed to compete with the likes of the VW Golf, Merc A-Class, Ford Focus, BMW 1-Series etc.

Re: Renault @ Auto Expo 2014

Wow, Megane is just fantabulous, took my breath away. Definitely can capture some market in India. Kwid looks more like the ones shown in the science fiction movies, that they drive around in future world. It looks like a 4WD

They're probably too ashamed to talk about the 2014 F1 engine at this point, I suppose

Ok, I just learned Kwid is 2WD. What a waste of design.

Re: Renault @ Auto Expo 2014

Loved the Kwid although the central driving position would hardly make it to the production car!

Zoe looks neat as well...love the charging point under the logo

Re: Renault @ Auto Expo 2014

I was amazed thrice while glaring at the Renault Stable :
#1 Front Bumper in the Face lifted Fluence is really rich in looks.
#2 The KWID concept is really futuristic and i hope a practical version will soon be available as a compact SUV. ( We all know the comfort in Duster is excellent but it hangs in the middle of Compact and full fledged SUV's )
#3 Fell in love with the Megane

Re: Renault @ Auto Expo 2014

Koleos = very nice looking!
Megane R.S Coupe = Stunning design!
Fluence = good looking, better than the outgoing version.

But I don't get what is their fascination with silver handles on all top end models Apart from this nitpick I think they have pretty much everything in order. Another promising manufacturer with a lot of potential. I hope we shall get to see many more good products from them in the future. Thumbs up to the mod-team for the coverage of their cars too.

Re: Renault @ Auto Expo 2014

That Megane Rs Coupe is stunning. Fluence is now much better looking. But where is the much anticipated Clio Sedan???
