Ford's initiative to reduce ownership costs - Happy Pocket Service As per a report in Motorbeam: Quote:
In a bid to provide products with reduced cost of ownership, Ford launched the Happy Pocket Service that offers competitive and transparent prices on the scheduled services starting at Rs. 2199/-. Ford has been working towards bringing products and services that make financial sense and reduce the overall cost of ownership for the customer. Ford wants to showcase its products as inexpensive and easy to maintain by committing to transparency, value and quality to improve the consumer brand experience.
Competing with other OEM, multi-brand and stand-alone workshops; the Happy Pocket Service initiative offers a vehicle report card check which includes replacement of the oil filter, sump gasket, use of high grade semi synthetic engine oil and Ford genuine parts along with labour charges and car wash at a competitively lower rate than the competition. The service also informs the owner of the number of times the part has been replaced on the vehicle. The main USP is the price transparency, which no other manufacturer offers in the country..

IMO this looks a good step (though quite late in market scenario) by the company, to win over existing & new customers, & a sustained effort with increasing service network will surely reap dividends .
Hopefully they don't repeat a EcoSport fiasco in again. |
