I can't understand their strategy, Rapid 1.6 TDI has come down by just ₹20k odd. Earlier the diff between Ambition Plus and Ambition plus + Alloy was just ₹15k, now its more than ₹35k.

I am in the market for entry level diesel sedan. Below my short list.
Honda City V - Hoping against hope it comes below ₹10 lac mark.
Hyundai Verna - Eager to see price cut on SX
Skoda Rapid - Disappointed that its not 4% cut on the top-end variant.
Renault Scala - RXz was ₹10.07. Price cut should make it a contender again.
Any particular reason you have not shortlisted vento, considering rapid has made it?

Maruti has updated the prices.

http://www.marutisuzuki.com/maruti-price.aspx

WagonR Vxi, which I bought last month, has gone down by Rs. 14,000. From 4.31 Lacs to 4.17 Lacs.

Don't see any updates on their website for the Yeti? Did you stop by at a showroom and get the updated price list? Would you know the difference for a Yeti?

No news from Toyota yet. I'm also eagerly looking forwrad to it. Does anyone know whether Toyota has increased Fortuners price recently, or when was the last time they increased that.

Re: Budget 2014 - Car prices to come down due to reduction in Excise Duty!

Until today morning the Mahindra's dedicated websites for Thar and Scorpio were stating price being revised for these models. Now that its showing the price , I strongly feel either the drop in the price is too small for notice or they have not changed it et all.

Wonder if the manufacturers will pass on the duty drop only for the models where they target more sales.

Folks!!
Toyota has updated the price list and its not very exciting. They are not passing on full excise benefit, I guess. New prices for Fortuner Ex-Delhi:
4x4 Manual- Rs 23,06,302/- (Reduced by 61 K)
4x2 Manual- Rs 21,81,567/-
4x2 Auto-Rs 22,79,947/-

Can you check with person who gave this price list? The SV CVT NON-METALLIC Ex showroom does not seem right. It should be 3K less.

Please check my other post here where I've tried to do comparison : http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/offici...ml#post3374374

No, I did not visit any dealer. The prices were from their (Skoda) website.
Initial update on the site had Ambition + Alloy as a variant for Rapid, now that's been removed. I am guessing the Yeti prices should have also been updated by now.

Hyundai also has updated the prices for Verna. Price cut is in the range of 20k, just like Honda.

Wished Honda given 4% cut at least for the V iDtec variant it would have saved a lot of tax.

Renault yet to update prices on their website. Until last week they had offer up to 1 lac on Scala (My 13 I guess). Now they have assured gifts and total benefits up to 40k.

Not sure if Nissan had updated the price at all, could someone confirm if the prices for Sunny have been reduced?

Looks like Ford has decided too keep the money to themselves. Probably they would wait until sales start drying up.
