Site seems very slow at the moment... Trying for last 10 minutes but can't see anything apart from a blue strip on top! :(

Now I can see flash saying 'Changing...'. It reached 98% but it stuck right there. Moreover its not asking any plugin neither in IE nor in FireFox!

Let me check the new plugin anyway!

overall much improved car in terms of exteriors and interiors. bigger and electric ovrms, roratory ac controls, 3 spoke steering wheels, remote tailgate opener, redesigned ergonomic seats are a BIG BIG relief.

But IMHO Maruti should have tweaked the 1061cc engine a little like Hyundai did with Santro (erlx) to make it more peppy.
Nonetheless, a much improved car, and now a five seater, so Hyundai will have to plan a lot of strategies now that the wagonR looks much better overall car the Santro xing erlx.

If the newspapers are right, there is no price hike for the new models. The Duo will be more expensive though. The article I read did say Maruti will be hiking prices across the board shortly.

Hey,

They''ve released this apparently "new" Wagon-R. The best part abt it I love is the new steering wheel. Its awesome. Rest of the car looks alright

overall some major changes are visible. I can certainly think of upgrading from our current wagonR vx to the new one with cng(57hp)

Roof rails are look excellent

Gear box still looks the same and I hate that stick.

The grille is outdone otherwise the frontal looks good.

the removal of the individual rear seats is a drawback. But I hope it still falls forward for space coz the tyre is now out in the boot.

ABS and Airbags a good feature.

overall I would give it 8.5/10 for the effort with my current wagonR experience. Is a perfect younger brother to the swift. cant see the santro surviving with that interiors. Indica is albeit safe with diesel.

Now where will they place the New zen though?

ABS, Airbags, ERVM and new interiors without any price increase.... I am waiting to see how Hyundai is gonna respond to it.
For santro to sell, Hyundai will have to fit airbags and probably revamp the interiors. If not the new wagon r will kill the santro.
Nice move by Maruti.
