Re: PICS: Tata begins testing Nano Twist Active AMT

Welcome addition to the Nano range. Sales should go up. At least in terms of interior room, it is far better that ALTO K10 AMT. I will, in all probability will be booking the AMT Nano for wifey.

Noticed one thing: 4th picture from top shows a fair bit of upper dash reflection from the beige smeared dash, in the windscreen. (remembered old i10?).

Once the car hits the showroom, will have to see how good or bad it is. Maybe a black felt covering has to be "jugaad-ified" if it proves to be too much of a distraction.

Re: PICS: Tata begins testing Nano Twist Active AMT

I wonder if the openable hatch can be added to older Nanos? Given that the authorized service centers are reluctant to do that, I won't be surprised in the least if they say NO. Here is wishing Nano all the more sales

Nice looking AT Lever. There is a tiny button at the bottom I think showing an S. Is it a sport mode?

First impressions seem to be very positive.

Hope Tata Motors prices this to succeed (post the Bolt pricing debacle).

Re: PICS: Tata begins testing Nano Twist Active AMT

The ( 5 speed ) AMT will have a 94L boot while the manual will have a 110L boot.

Looks like TATA is using the same steering for Zest/Bolt, Storme & now even the Nano!

Premium feel aside, such part sharing would definitely help control costs & suppliers (hence QC).

5 speed could be to ensure that the fuel economy doesn't massively suffer due to AMT.

I guess it'll be priced at a premium. Hope they have a decent introductory offer initially to grow demand.

Now eagerly waiting for them to hit the showrooms for test drives!

Yes the AMT in Nano comes with Sport mode. It is a good looking lever and identical to the one displayed at the Auto Expo.
Hoping to see our own Team-BHP reviews, Mods, is there one to look out for, as always?

Interiors look neat. Looks like two glove box are added (one each on passenger and driver side). The AMT lever and console looks great. And finally the normally opening full boot door. Makes it perfect. great job by Tata.

That's 4 forward + 1 Reverse. Not 5 Forward

Twist already has two glove-boxes. But the closing mechanism is not built to last, at least on the Twist

Great looking car. Could be the solution for my family's second car needs. And that gear lever looks inspired from the Jag F type!

Re: PICS: Tata begins testing Nano Twist Active AMT

Another details that Tata's always miss is painting steel rims black in models which are using wheel covers. Having a silver steel rim peeking though the silver wheel cover spoils the stance and overall look. It is the same story with other Tata cars as well. Do not know when they will learn something as basic as this.
