BMW India has launched the M6 Gran Coupe in India. Brought in as a CBU unit, the M6 Gran Coupe is priced at Rs.1,75,40,000. It will be available in all BMW showrooms starting today.
High Points-- M6 Gran Coupe is the stretched version of the Coupe version with as much wheelbase as the M5 sedan.
- M6 Gran Coupe comes with a 560 hp, 680 nm 4.4 Litre Twin Turbo Petrol Motor.
- BMW claimed 0-100kph Acceleration is 4.2 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited at 250kph.
- For weight saving reasons the M6 Gran Coupe has a Carbon Fibre roof which helps the car save 25 kilograms of weight compared to a conventional roof with a glass sunroof.
- M6 Gran Coupe still comes with Hydraulic Power Steering. One of the few BMW cars to come feature Hydraulic power steering in the age of EPS systems.
- The M6 Gran Coupe comes equipped with a 7 Speed Dual Clutch Automatic Transmission. This Automatic transmission also features low speed assistance system with crawl feature to improve comfort in stop go traffic. Launch control system is also standard on this transmission.
- On the outside the Grand Coupe may look like a huge Sedan but on the inside the space at rear bench is not lavish for its huge external dimensions.
- The M6 Gran Coupe features Electronically controlled Limited Differential called Active M Differential and Electronically controlled Shock absorbers called M Dynamic Damper control.
- M Drive buttons with switchable drive modes on steering wheel are standard.
- 20 inch Alloy Wheels are standard on M6 Grand Coupe.
- This M flagship model, M6 Gran Coupe was showcased earlier this year at Auto Expo 2014.

Thanks for the pictures!
I thought my browser would crash saying "Too much power to handle on a single page.."
For me the M5 was my favourite BMW till date, but now I can easily say for me The M6 Gran Coupe is at par or even better than then the M5.

It is on display @ the Gurgaon sector 75 or 76 BMW showroom as my friend who works in BMW India Financial Services said. Anyone interested in a closer look can just drop by!
Thanks for the pictures.
Good to see we have some images of the facility on our forum.
I am mighty pleased to say that I was part of delivering this training facility building to BMW. BMW definitely is very proud of this facility and apart from intending to benchmark this globally, they feel that this is what will drive them and their team towards capturing and serving the customer from day 1!
It will be interesting to know that during construction, there were a few 'Germans' who were interested to take up the facility seeing its 'awesomeness' ... if you know what I mean :-)
The facility is located in Manesar, off the highway before the toll booth.

@ .anshuman thank you for the awesome pictures of the Grancoupe. But the thunder of this thread is stolen by the astonishing training centre!! Looks truly at Global Standards!
@ Zavegur: Excellent job done, if you have more details and permissions, may be you can start a thread on the development of this facility!
Is the M6 Gran Coupe also equipped with the Active Sound System like the M5 that generates fake engine and exhaust sound in the cabin?
