yes price is a no brainer here but engine capacities are
Then why is the NHC CVT being mentioned here? Lets stick to Invex and Civic.

No cars without "tip tronic" should be mentioned, if we're to stick to the topic.

I still dont get the point of this thread.... really. Two cars of completely different segments, just because theyre Tiptronic? If it wasnt meant to be a comparison (in which civic is the clear winner), then what is this thread about? I still dont get it. If we're just talking about tiptronics in general then hey even the Porsche 911 is officially sold in india.

Ok. Here's the thing.

1. Both are tiptronics.
2. Both have competitive power bands.
3. Both engines are 1.8 ltr

HM did a mistake of puttin the 1.8 in the Lancer instead of the cedia. It still is the first proper tip-tronic car.

While civic is a segment bigger, is the first car with paddle-shifters and lots of kit.

but its not about the cars. Its about the engines. I repeat its about the engines. Autopsyche, you said that invecs has lots of lag. True. Amit said civic A/T has lag. True. So what we need to check out is how good are both the engines, their powerbands etc in comparison to each other.

Hence the thread.

So, now this thread isn't about tip tronics is it? Then, why not compare all 1.8ltr engines?

Cmon, decide what you want to compare first.

CC, Price Segment, Power, Gearbox or Engine?

PS : The M/T Civic has the same engine as the A/T. So why not take that into consideration?

This thread ain't goin anywhere man. "Battle of the Tip Tronics" and you want to discuss their engines?

Honda Civic is a new car. New cars mean better cars. Now I am getting confused.
Ask yourself, what are you trying to tell me/ others.

Why you wanna go all the way to Germany for a MERC CAB? Get out of Delhi Airport, as for a Premium Cab, you have a Merc there...
In B'lore, Hertz rental services n number of Camry's, attached to S/w companie's and BPO's, for their Expat Manager visit's or wat ever. I did not Justify that lancer is cheap, i mentioned that, SOME ONE already in team-bhp had mentioned it.

No misunderstandings mate.

I totally vote for civic A/T. It just happens that my emotional side is attached with the lancer.

Today someone was asking me for a car upto 7.5lacs.

There was only one auto I could have suggested him at that price. And yeah it certainly was not CVT. but a certain tip-tronic.

But then I asked the guy to look at fiesta Sxi or elantra gls as better options.

Hi guys,

Since price is an issue for me, if it wasnt I would blindly pick up the Civic with the tiptronic paddle shifters..........sigh !

Now my cheapest option for a 2nd hand tiptronic is a lancer invecs.

So guys, can you help me out with the approx. price for one please.
Which year, what price approx. would help.

Thanks in advance.
