A new tata storme named MY15 update to current safari has been planned to be produced from February. But do to some constraints couldn't be produced, hence is going to be produced from March.

The production plan for the same has been communicated to supplier associated with the product. Some 900 are going to be produced in March 15.

What are the updates to this I dont know.. but shall try to confirm it.

It is indeed an encouraging news. Like I had mentioned in my previous post, there have been some conflicting reports regarding Storme. I hope that yours turns out to be precise.

I tried to enquire more about whats happening and a few points:

1.) There are 2-3 versions of Storme under test including a 160bhp but they are only tests and there is no specific timelines that anyone knows about, they are being showed to a very select customers and feedback is being taken, but the lips are tight shut from the developers
2.) Storme Ladakh seems most probable outcome for now
3.) Aria with Auto Trans will come out before any Storme
4.) A New Car which is not kite or Eagle (unsure) will be out before diwali

But the lips are tight shut and with the Tata team, nothing is disclosed even to field employees as they might leak info in excitement. However they have seen all 2-3 verisons of storme in factory.

I have been in constant touch with a Tata sales executive. I even visited the showroom yesterday. But no one knows for sure about the kind of Storme that might be launched or when. I tried to probe the service guys about some update as they are sometimes informed earlier about the technical aspects of a to-be-launched vehicle, but to no avail.

The only info about which the sales guy was sure, was that the new storme will have front facing 3rd row seats. As rajismine rightly said, there might be 2-3 versions doing the rounds as of now. So I request anybody with some solid insider source/network to kindly shed some light on the same.

(Off Topic) - ALL the Stormes at the above mentioned showroom have been sold out, even the test drive vehicle. Maybe some sort of stock clearance drive or plain customer enthusiasm!! I still managed to climb inside the former TD vehicle and that king like feeling is just fantastic. I cranked the engine and revved it up a little and the beast's growl was so captivating that I can't explain it in words.

Are you referring to Tata hexa? A crossover with striking similarity with Aria.

I have no clue Pal. The Tata Employee has seen it but wont disclose anything except that its coming before Diwali and its not the Aria Redesigned thing. He said it will be a completely new car,

At one point in time, yes I was, but then I got to know of the face-lift and all my plans were shelved.

I have also delayed my purchase due to the impending launch of the new Storme. For now, I have bought a Zest XT QDJ.

Yep, if it was not for the 2.2 Dicor i would have guessed a new model.
But the engine and the overall style looks like Tata is going to do a la Vista-Zest treatment the Aria.

Along with the GM 6 A/T rumored this would be one heck of a car.

If and when the Storme face lift comes I will certainly be among the very early Team Bhpians if not the first, to get one as I need it right away but just delaying it because of the face lift coming as I am in no way bothered about the resale as I will keep it for a long long time.

Exactly my thoughts!! Ever since Tata announced Zest and Bolt, I was wondering why don't they come out with a re-done Aria. Looks like this may be it
