re: Japanese WagonR caught testing in India

Guys this is the JDM version that is already on sale in Japan for a while. I do not think this is going to be launched in India. Possibly an early prototype that was brought to India before the India spec car was launched.

Re: Japanese WagonR caught testing in India

This car is the JDM model ( engine 660cc ), some design cues and features could be taken to the Indian Wagon R for the facelift launch. Seems like the car is undergoing component testing for the Indian conditions.

Re: Japanese WagonR caught testing in India

Maruti could come up with a small 660cc car. Engine testing of this continues now in with the CBU car Palette.

It is also speculated the Wagon R would be facelifted with the idling stop and changes to the interiors. They could adopt the idling technology for it's Complete K-Series Lineup.

Re: 2015 Wagon R facelift

More than a Wagon-R, it looks like an Ertiga to me. Seriously, MSIL with the amount of sales you get, going for some serious facelift shouldn't be a problem for you. Dissapointed!

I don't believe this article. Maruti Suzuki has been recently giving independent design refreshes to the WagonR and the car pictured above is the international version. I doubt Maruti would introduce it.

And that too, MS testing on the roads without camouflage?

I suspect the new 658cc engine is being tested for Indian conditions.

Re: 2015 Wagon R facelift

I remember seeing this somewhere on this forum. Its more likely what CrazyDriver is saying. Moreover I don't see any fog lamps available but ORVM mean that its a VXi.

Re: 2015 Wagon R facelift

This look like the Japanese 2015 Wagon R with a chrome treatment.
The interiors of 2015 Jpanese models are also different and is available in 2 and 4 WD versions. Take a look of the Indian and Japanese cars.

Re: 2015 Wagon R facelift

This is old news. They are testing the kei-car engines and the hybrid/ energy efficient technologies like "Idling Stop" with this car.

Below thread was started in May 2014 based on Gaadiwaadi news about the same car:

Re: 2015 Wagon R facelift

The JDM car's are fitted with smaller but turbo engines hence their bonnet is shorter as compared to Indian cars which come with a 1.0 K-series motor.

Wagon R is expected to get a facelieft soon according to a source.
