Looks good. If a good touch screen HU with reverse camera connections can be sources one can get a great diesel car at less than 9 lakh OTR.

Wouldn't the touchscreen unit from the Fiesta in the UK or US make more sense? It looks much better than the unit we have here with a lot less clutter and should be an easy fit.

Aameen. And of course there are many who appreciate good stuff. I totally loved the driver's seat of the new Fiesta. That hugging thing, I think of it as a feature, an enhancement. I really have no good words for the latest thin seats, to have more rear space, which is seldom used, how can you compromise on the seat quality on which you will be seated every day?

Thanks for the pics of the ambiente. Looks good.

Can you please post some closeup pics of the centre console. What is that group of buttons below the HU slot? Trying to visualize how it would look with a HU, so some great close ups of the area would be appreciated. Thanks!

Those two buttons will be hazard and lock/unlock button. I think it would be difficult to replace the entire unit (center console) although after market touchscreens(chinese make - video/navigation/WIFI) are available for the MID slot.

I was planning a double din head unit, but after looking at the dash I have decided to go for a single din unit only.

Do post some pics of your HU after getting it fit. How are you finding the in city driveability of the fiesta? Turning circle, clutch, steering for in city driving? Your experiences will be appreciated.

Re: 2014 Ford Fiesta Facelift : A Close Look

Dear D4D,

Congrats on the excellent car!!

However, from the pics, the HU space looks extremely devoid and even a One Din HU will leave a lot of empty space.

Should you fit the Ford OEM HU, I guess the area would look a lot better integrated.

The Speakers could well be of your choice and if your require a higher clarity, a 4 way amp basic set up wont be very expensive.

That way, the HU space will look a lot better.

congratulations I really love the new Fiesta especially those new wheels. With the facelift, one can finally post pics of its bum (those elongated tail lamps do wonders to make the rear more proportionate and even a little beautiful)

OT: Am I the only one who likes the pre-facelifted Fiesta's nose over this one? The sleeker headlamps, bulbous fog lamp housings and coin-slot grille looked brilliant IMO

Congrats buddy, its a Titanium, so how much on road, which city?
People have pointed out a few weaknesses, like rear seat space etc. Please comment on those points specifically, so as to help out other buyers. Frankly, I could not see a single shortcoming with this beauty.

The steering on the fiesta is an absolute delight. At parking speeds it is even lighter than most of the EPS units available and then weighs up in a brilliant way. Clutch has a shorter throw compared to the cars I usually drive.

Some people have advised me to go component speakers at the back instead of ovals, please advise ASAP on how much adverse effect will it have on the overall sound quality.

Oh cool! Congratulations. So the confusion between Fiesta and Jetta got resolved quite easily. Do post an ownership review.
