How could the key hole on the wrong side of the steering? TMC cannot make a mistake like this!
That is the pic of a LHD Hilux. Please see the dials and AC knobs closely.

I agree with you on this. This photo has been inverted to show it as a RHL Hilux, but actually its an LHD Hilux.

Quite misleading photo.

Thats what i was looking. The keyhole on the left side, the needles on full sweep and the steering mounted buttons on the eight side, with the left side blank. But didn't cross my mind that the pic was inverted

Otherwise the interiors look okay, but the floating screen, am not much sure of. What about the base variants then? A huge recessed gap on the dash filled by a aftermarket music system?

Dunno if its the pics, but the lower part of the dash having the HVAC control looks a bit... hmmm

Re: New Toyota Fortuner caught on test in Thailand

I still feel Hilux front looks better then the new Fortuner but lets wait for the SUV to be launched. I guess Toyota is trying to make the Fortuner look premium & luxurious while the Hilux will look butch & macho.

PS: I can see push button start in there!

Re: New Toyota Fortuner caught on test in Thailand

I think the tall gear lever going from the Fortuner is a good thing because it just kept shaking & shivering all the time. I love the new short stubby gear lever although it may not suit the Hilux but will be a welcome addition to the Fortuner.

Feature list out too!

It's got host of safety features and also differential locks which I had wished for in the earlier page.

Re: New Toyota Fortuner caught on test in Thailand

Nice, very Nice. I am lovin it!

Now its out there in fresh flesh, lets wait and see what kind of pricing TMC launches the Hilux with?

Current full option of Hilux 4x4 Double Cab 2.7 AT Litre petrol sells for 100,000+ Dirhams in the UAE and that's expensive than the Fortuner!

I expect it to be around 120,000+ Dirhams.

Re: New Toyota Fortuner caught on test in Thailand

Toyota's next-gen 2016 Hilux pickup truck was spotted completely undisguised at what appears to be a dealer lot in Thailand.

Re: New Toyota Fortuner caught on test in Thailand

I can see that the bonnet design is a straight copy of the Ford Ranger.

Dashboard is a mix of the Corolla and RAV4.

But, still I am lovin it.

Re: New Toyota Fortuner caught on test in Thailand

Mitsubishi silently upgraded the L200 to launch it same day along with the Indestructible HILUX.
