Re: New Toyota Fortuner caught on test in Thailand

Central air-con vents are like the new Corolla's. Will be interesting to see what functions that screen incorporates, hopefully, they will carry over the navigation from the current Fortuner to the new one.

The front view looks awesome. Do the headlights have the eyebrow DRL's? It seems so from the pic posted.

Re: New Toyota Fortuner caught on test in Thailand

What's that steering wheel? Like a cross between the Etios one and new Tata steering wheel.

How i hate 3 spokes wheels in trucks.!!!
Thought the next gen IMV platform would get the present Prado steering wheel.

Anyway, 3 spokes are the flavor of the decade and everyone wants to have them.

Completely agree with you. I always wanted a 4-spoke but I think we will have to accept the 3-spoke. The one on the Prado is really good! Would have loved to have it.

Got to say that the car looks too good from the outside.
Too early to judge interiors, but the steering seems civic inspired. On a truck?

Seems like it is destined for Europe.

No it's not destined for Europe. If you carefully look at the front logo, it's a normal chrome one whereas the European one will get the blueish one which houses the radar sensors for the emergency brake assist.

Re: New Toyota Fortuner caught on test in Thailand

The headlights and front on the Hilux is different from the Fortuner images we have seen so far. I doubt Toyota will give different looks to these two vehicles so whats the catch here? I prefer the Hilux looks to the Fortuner form what we have seen so far.

And yes, that steering wheel looks like it was lifted from the Etios. I hope Toyota don't plan to give this steering in a pick up / SUV!

There is a deliberate effort from Toyota to make the two twins/siblings with different faces and profile for the 2016 models.

The too much of similarity in the current models will no longer be visible in the 2016 models of Hilux and T-Fort.

Re: New Toyota Fortuner caught on test in Thailand

Nice one Karan.

My 2010 Hilux is due for replacement as it completes 5 years and 300,000kms this may.

The current Hilux 4WD with AT/Airbags/ABS is 100,000+ Dirhams, I would wait to see how much the new generation will be priced at!

Don't they appear like sedans? The covered silhouette isn't remotely SUV IMHO.
