The last set of scooped images, posted in page number 11 does confirm the presence of Cruise control in one of the variants. Have a look.

I would like to draw attention to another common complaint which most members had with their S-Cross. It looks like Maruti is again repeating it with their YBA- The use of infamous JK elanzos.

Look at the tread pattern closely.

The tread pattern of JK Elanzos on the S-Cross.

However, if we pay attention towards the scoop pictures on page 11, they reveal a different tread pattern. Looks like Maruti hasn't yet confirmed the tyres.

I sincerely hope its not JK!!

[quote=volkman10;3868747]We all think Maruti has imported 3800+ 1.6MJD for the S Cross and is carrying a lot of inventory of this engine.

I guess Maruti is planning a surprise, they have again imported 240 engines this month.

Looks like the YBA will come in the variant of 1.6 OR they are planning for the New Vitara soon ? Under Fiats's agreement are they jointly developing the 1.5 version of this engine?

Chances are becoming brighter, with the recent imports, that some other vehicles from Maruti Suzuki will be getting the 1.6MJD. Would YBA come in its top variant with this Torque Monster ?

re: The Maruti Vitara Brezza Compact SUV

Well Maruti just doesn't pay attention to details, look at those steering wheel, again its the same old one without any thumb contours, my 8 yr old Fiesta has it come on Maruti, also the power windows switches - Why can't they upgrade it to give a more premium look.

I doubt if this will get the 1.6 engine for it will kill the scross. Also in terms of dimension it doesn't look bigger than the swift which could be a wasted effort, for they could have had their order book full with bookings if they provide a spacious car under 4m.

This could be done expecting / seeing a high demand for SCross 1.6 with the kind of discounts on offer.

I don't think Maruti will import the engine in bulk before they do any kind of road testing of Vitara.

And as the YBA is a sub-4m car, the chances of offering the 1.6L version is very rare.

Or, could it be for a Ciaz 1.6?

I'll be inclined to think so. The 1.6MJD will be an overkill for the compact SUV & the 1.6 version (if any) will be priced astronomical like the SCross. Considering the SUV will target a slightly more economically conscious segment, lesser FE will add to it.

But this looks a perfect fit on Ciaz though, may be the Ertiga top variant as well. These two vehicles badly need this engine.

Agree the Ciaz and Ertiga are more deserving of this engine. Especially the Ciaz.

The strategy of pricing this engine 3L more than the 1.3Ltr one will cause any car to fail though.

If they can offer a 2L discount at this stage for SCross, give the same offer at the time of launch of the new models - whether it is Ciaz or Ertiga!

re: The Maruti Vitara Brezza Compact SUV

During my visit to Maruti Gurgaon Plant last week, i saw a production model of this car. It was the ZDI+ variant.

It was standing in a cordoned off area to prevent from spying eyes. Somehow managed to get a glimpse. A lot of Maruti employees were standing around and checking it, looks like it might have been from the first production lot.

Looks like the launch is near, very near.

As Speculated it probably confirmed with the nomenclature of ZDI+ the YBA will be sold through regular dealers and not Nexa

Then it is high time that the scoop without camo appear on internet.

As per your view, does it look like a 4m car, or even smaller than 4m?

Yes, I am sure we should start seeing pics soon.

Regarding the size, it looks smaller than ecosport. If I was in market, I would rather buy the ecosport. But lets wait till prices and other details are out
