For me it still looks like a jacked up swift/fabia. Waiting for full unveil to correct my opinion. The contrast roof will definitely bring the necessary differentiation. Hope they provide customization option for the roof (with different colors). I think Vitara launched in 2014 has around 18 different combination options for the customer.

Is it really the XA-Alpha production version? Considering the similarities to Vitara, is it not a reduced version of the Global Vitara which measures 4175 mm.

If priced right, which I believe that Maruti would be doing, this will take away lot of sales from EcoSport.

Even if Maruti doesn't price it right, Ecosport will still loose significant number of potential customers. Most of the existing maruti users looking for a sub 4m compact SUV will definitely consider the Brezza first. Only if someone cannot convince himself with Brezza, he will think of an alternative. Given the huge customer base of Maruti, Ecosport will loose attraction significantly.

This is looking super.

I am currently in the market for my first car, and just this teaser has forced me to wait for this one. I hope it looks as good in flesh as it is looking in the teaser. Please bring it on soon.

If this is priced competently, this can and will give sleepless nights to Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano, Ford EcoSport and sorts. Hyundai Creta may not feel the force as it is priced well higher but for others it can surely be a nightmare, if Maruti doesn't does for a price blunder like S-Cross.

Wow...a great teaser. Brezza seems to have a great looks and the contrasting roof will add to the character and bring out the SUV look even more.

I don't think Brezza will bite into Creta sales as Creta is being offered as a premium compact SUV with upscaled interiors and considerably bigger engine and power. Brezza on the other hand is expected to be a sub-4 m unit with 1.3L engine and a power of ~75bhp or at the max 90bhp. Also earlier news suggest that it will be sold from regular MS outlets rather than Nexa which indicates that it won't be a premium vehicle. So Creta shouldn't be too worried.

Having said that, it'll certainly be a stiff competition for Ecosport and might also eat into the likes of Duster and Terrano (although they are not sub-4m) simply due to their aged looks and boring/dated/lack luster/below par interiors.

End of the day customer is the winner with all these new launches as we've more options to choose from.

Anxious to see the Brezza in flesh...!!!
