I though of starting this same thread just yesterday night!

Here is what my dream car would be:

Body: Skoda Octavia VRs (1st gen)
Engine: 350 HP Pete's tuned VRs Engine.
Ride Quality and handling: 5 series/ Mini Cooper.
Gearbox: Flappy paddles.
Seats' comfort: S Class.
Transmission: Rear-wheel Drive
ICE: Bowers and Wilkins.
And finally Toyota-like bullet-proof reliability.

Here it goes..
Exterior:
Body of a characteristic muscle car(probably with the likes of a camaro,mustang or a challenger) The body of a HM Contessa may come in handy.
headlamps with Drls and projectors as in Audi or equivalent.
Characteristic Tail lamps with LEDs.
Body kits and spoilers for aerodynamics.

Interior:
Instrumentation panel EU style with seamed leather stitching almost everywhere.
Seats with good thigh support and lumbar support with separate armrest for the driver seat.

Electrical:
Sync 3 for audio video navigation and voice control.
Speakers by Harman. (sub-woofer not to my taste but good to have one just in case if it's needed).

Chassis:
Front and rear independent coil spring suspension.
Steering with the likes of a ford fiesta.
Rear axle differential for a rear wheel drive.
Brembo disc brakes for all four wheels.
alloys with 225/55r17 sport grade tires by yokohama.

Powertrain:
2.3L Ecoboost with 305 horses.
7 speed Automated manual Transmission with paddle shift at the steering(likes of a honda city cvt).
Traction control On/OFF for controlled /realistic driving.
dual exhaust system by K&N.

So this is how I imagine my 'Dream Car' to be:

1) Engine: 6.0L V12 Biturbo from the AMG stable. 630 PS and 1000 N-m.
2) Everything Else: BMW E60 M5

Dream car from 10-12L Parts bin-

Fiesta Chassis, suspension, steering with Verna's CRDi engine with VW/Skoda DSG/Manual gearbox.

Dream car from 20-22l Parts bin-

Skoda Octavia 1.8 TSI with DQ250 6 Speed DSG/MT(to handle more power from Remap) with after sales peace of mind from Toyota.

Higher price point-

BMW M235i or at least a M135i at reasonable price point

Body: Like Fiat Punto
Engine: 2.0 TDi from Jetta
Handling: Again a Punto
Steering: Once again from Punto
Gear Box: DSG with paddle shift
ICE: From Zest
NVH: Audi A4
Tyres : BMW 3 series
Breaks: Jetta

Maybe if VW Golf launch here in India, It could satisfy most of my requirements.

Looks - Fiat Punto (Pre facelift)
Space/Interior Package - Honda Jazz
Dashboard design & quality - New Polo
Ride/Handling/Breaks - Fiat Linea/Punto
Engine - 120 HP turbo petrol T-Jet/TSI
Gearbox - 7 speed DSG
Service Costs - Tata
Reliability (as GTO mentioned) - Toyota.

Too much of dreaming

Safety : 8 Airbags, ABS with EBD.

My dream car would be:

Body size n shape : Crossover (5 Seater) like Duster with comfortable 2nd row and ample storage capacity.
Engine: Diesel, 150HP, Economic yet sufficiently powerful with good torque figures.
Transmission: 6 speed manual
Part time 4x4 or Rear wheel drive with limited slip or locking differential.
Styling: Exteriors like SantaFe and interiors like VW touareg.
