Build your 'Dream Car' with the best of parts

We have 'dream teams' suggested frequently by the media, where players who excel in each aspect of the game are selected, regardless of their nationality. How about 'building' a dream car with the best of parts?

Please stick to street cars that cost less than Rs 50 lakhs, to ensure that we select parts from daily drives, and avoid sports and super luxury cars. And please do not limit the discussion to engines alone!

From my limited knowledge, I'd like to have a car with:
1. Horn from a VW Vento
2. Seats from a Nissan Teana
3. Shocks from a Duster
4. Engine from an XUV
5. Brake lights from a Corrolla
6. Head lights from...

What say folks?

My dream car (I'm sure this will remain as a dream for ever)
1. Body from Premier Padmini
2. Engine from Linea
3. GB from Swift
4. Suspension from Linea
5. Brakes from Civic
6. Seats from Optra
7. Alloys & Tires from Linea (15")

I don't dream about a performance car. All that I do is a Vintage / Classic vehicle with decent performance and comfort to be used as a daily running car.

Re: Build your 'Dream Car' with the best of parts

Lovely thread. I really long for a 200 BHP hatch, and don't understand why one has to unnecessarily buy a full-size 20+ lakh car for 200 horses.

My dream combination:

Looks - New i20
Engine - VAG's 1.8L TSI
Gearbox - Jetta's 6-speed MT
Steering - Civic
Ride quality - Duster
Handling - Punto
Brakes - Mercedes (any Mercedes)
Reliability - Innova

Re: Build your 'Dream Car' with the best of parts

I would have liked the Grande Punto to come with a 120 - 150 hp TJet engine. That would have been a dream to own. And it should come in black.

If I were to borrow something from another brand- that would mostly be that lovely rear view cam and ECM mounted display from Hyundai cars.

PS- Would have helped if petrol prices were lowered too!
