Hi Folks

Just a query do you think the cars in the warehouses of the various dealers were affected by the recent floods in Maharashtra. How do we verify that we are not getting a car that was drowned in the recent floods.

Regards
jinu

jinu_joseph thats a very good question.
the dealers will clean it and sell it...
how do you find out that its flood effected...

there hafta be some signs of dirty water drying up on the seats if the water reached a high enough level.
thats all i can think of.

manson.

Interesting Mr. Jopseph well you can check following things while buying the car:

1. As Manson said, the seats, check those and also to check the area below seats the nuts and screws.
2. Lift off the carpet and examine the wires they can change many things but not the wiring it will cost them hell lotta money.
3. As usual brakes, check the exhaust pipes and underbody of the car.
4. Engine bay.
5. Onething which my uncle told me was check the roof inside the car, if you find bubbles or a bit weak.... Then Run!!!

Edit

Use your NOSE and HANDS to full extent. You might not be able to make out by your eyes but these two will never fail to give a hint.
