The Innova 8-seater always had foldable middle row and third row seats and last row ac vents.
What's so new in that ?:0

re: 2015: The updated Innova and Fortuner (now with a 2.5L variant)

So, the Fortuner gets the 2.5L engine from the Innova- albeit with a 144PS, 343Nm state of tune. Compared to this- the Innova gets a 102 PS, 200Nm state of tune.

I wonder why Toyota sticks to such a detuned version for the Innova. Atleast they could have provided the option for the higher variants.

Also- Doesn't look like Toyota reduced Fortuner prices for the lower variants that now comes with the 2.5L engine.

I was just checking the prices for the fortuner in Bangalore. Ex-showroom is now close to 25L for the lowest priced variant. On road will be over 30L. Is it really worth it? IMO, its not.

re: 2015: The updated Innova and Fortuner (now with a 2.5L variant)

Any idea of the Innova getting a 6th gear? I am least bothered about the power. But the high speed buzz gets on my nerves everytime the car hits the highway.

Looking for an upgrade over the 2008 Innova for a relative of mine. Waiting to see how things proceed.

Also any word on Cruise control being offered? Will be one very useful feature for drivers and reduce fatigue as well.

I don't see their website updated yet with new Innova pics/ features. But the prices seem to have been revised in their website by almost 60k every variant?

I don't see Toyota offering anything really new on the Innova on this "version". People are happy with everything it offers except for the power and/or the higher gear. Toyota must have got heap-loads of letters/reviews on these and if they don't listen now, they never will.
What bugs me most apart from the above two issues is that the design just keeps getting worse and worse with every version upgrade, while the cost keeps going up-wards.

I remember reading on this forum:

Imagine what happens if that high performing engine gets into Innova and which would be hauled by cabbies!

Jokes apart, I they know, its a fleet option and hence the FE would be more important than power? Hence the reason to detune?

But surely the same logic does not apply for the 1.4 D4D for Altis.

Insane pricing for the new Fortuner. Have they seriously priced the 4x2 MT, 2.5L Fortuner at 24.17L? I really wonder how much profit are they making on each Fortuner. Can anyone post the prices prior to the hike?

Perhaps it consumes less diesel per liter and hence would be more attractive to fleet owners.
I presume tourist companies buy this in mass and fuel economy matters significantly.

The whole idea is to simply lure customers in to buying what seemingly appears new, as the old saying goes, "old wine, new bottle"

Whats wrong with Toyota, further hike in Fortuner prices. Plus the new 2.5 AT doesnt get any NAVI (Only with the 3.0). Also the previously available Cruise control and HID Headlamps with washers, have been removed from the 2.5. (Source: http://www.toyotabharat.com/cars/new...ification.aspx).

Looking forward for the Innova pics. I hate the current front grille design and hope the new design is pleasing to the eye.

I am wondering whether Fortuner prices are really justified.
