Correct, maybe 8.2/8.3 sec to 100 and not 8 sec as I had mentioned. But still, definitely faster than a remapped TSI. A remapped 1.6 GT TDI will run it much closer though.

Oops, I had no idea this was such a hot topic!

There are dyno-graphs to prove it. But yes, all for the 1.2 TSI only – stock, with petes, with revo, with ToT, with petes + air filter + exhaust mods and so on.

Yes, dynos numbers are notoriously different depending on the set-up. However, the reason I trust these numbers: all of them are on the same dyno and are reasonably consistent with what VW claims as stock bhp well as what most of these tuning firms claim as gains (with one notable exception )

Anyway, to get back to the topic, I’m really excited about the motor. I just hope it comes with a upgraded turbo instead of a remap!

I expect it to be faster than stock Tsi. But lot depends on the gearbox.

All said, if I had the money, I would be lining up to buy this car when it is launched.

Faster than Stock AND remapped GT TSI. But yes, the goodness of the gearbox needs to be seen.

The Punto Evo Abarth is certainly quick. I got a ride in it (did not get to drive it). The suspension is set up stiff, accelerates quite briskly compared to the Linea Tjet and braking is quite strong. Lets wait and see what we finally get.

PS: They should give those lovely seats of the Abarth 500.

That's not quite good, i would say. TSI is a better bet. Not sure if this is authentic information on the website though !

Probably just a tactic to get some hits on their web page. I don't think it is based on any official information.

Any chance of getting this in automatic?

Would gladly pay 10L if it has Polo TSI DSG.
