As long as they put that effort to build and sustain the "premium" value perception, this will work in Suzuki's favour to capture the customer base in the C+, D and higher segments and retain their market share as much as possible going forward.

Exactly. Finding a Business Owner to open a showroom for a single car (for now) in prime localities is tough. Khivraj being in the business for long is may be testing the waters at Ambattur

Take the Chennai example. Does one need to travel from one corner of the city to another, to experience this premiumness? One would have crossed 3 Hyundai, 2 Renault Nissan and 2 Ford Showrooms on the way.

Opening small showrooms (Not just display cars) in Malls would have been a nice idea though. Volvo and BMW have done that in Chennai.

Mumbai gets 2 NEXA showrooms, and I can see none in "Coming soon" list So it seems Mumbai will have only 2 NEXAs for now! This is too less IMHO.

Compared to this, Delhi has 2, and 4 more in upcoming list. Even Pune will be getting 3 in all.

I had a conversation with a Maruti dealer Senior manager. I asked him if they have been asked to open a Nexa for Trichy district. I was shocked to know that only Coimbatore and Chennai will get Nexa in TN!!

Trichy, Madurai and Salem are big cities and they average 250-300 maruti cars being sold monthly. 2 cities won't help SCross have a wide platform in TN.

The Trichy dealers are hopelessly ignorant of the nexa showrooms.

I asked them to help me with booking one from the Chennai /Coimbatore dealers , and they are like "don't worry sir, it is launching next month only! We will contact you when we have information ".

Yes, I saw it too and stopped by and went inside to have a look at the S-Cross yesterday. I was able to spend only 5 minutes, since there was lot commotion for getting the showroom ready. The only thing I felt looking at the S-cross was it was a big car !!

Saw the nexa showroom getting ready to be inaugurated at Outer ring road in bangalore. Was on bike so couldn't click pics, they had a huge black cloth in front, but could see a car standing inside.
