It is much more VFM compared to the Innova, with a proven reliable engine, still it could not take the fight to Innova. Why Spin will not come to India - Here is the probable answer to this


GM is working on a new compact platform called GEM ( Global Emerging Markets). This platform will give rise to new Compact SUV and a Pick up truck, which will reach the market in 2020.
The GEM Platform products will be primarily for markets like Brazil, China, India, Mexico and some more emerging markets.

For the development of new architecture in national market General Motors will invest $ 1.9 billion. With the GEM platform GM must replace multiple lines of vehicles and consolidate its use in various markets

Oh dear lord. That means GM will keep selling the current Beat, Enjoy, Tavera, Sail till 2020? Good luck to them.

I disagree that MPVs won't sell. I know compact SUVs are the hottest item, but nothing beats the good old MPV for the large Indian families.

To companies: Make a good stylish and spacious 7 seater with acceptable performance and good FE, you'll have a long queue of customers.

If the lodgy, mobilio, evalia and enjoy failed, the sole reason is down to the product. They were either spartan and under-equipped compared to the Ertiga, overpriced or just plain ugly to look at. Indians also don't want to drive breadboxes.
