I believe Tanveer_2558 has a blue Jetta. Or is this a new blue?

Congrats man - Welcome to the club. This is one solidly built, high quality, and well engineered car. Your's is a TSI?

For me, it's been 20 months and 22k kms. of bliss. Not a single rattle or squeak. You simply don't get this level or robustness in Jap/Kor cars.

That it is, and yes he does. Although not for much longer if his upgrade plans fall into place!

Opps, thanks for letting me know Tilt.
You can go on this page, scroll down and click on the video "Here's how to register".

This process is applicable for all VW cars with the new composition media - including the Beetle.

Hope it helps - please tell me if it worked.

Folks,

My Jetta came back from 30000 kms service a few days back. There wasn't any major issue with the car before the service, service cost was 12000 bucks. They did 3M AC disfaction without my permission or input and charged 1200 bucks for it. Upon objection to the charge, they immediately waved it. So the effective service cost was 10800 bucks.

This was the first service of her under my ownership and I had no prior experience with german automakers.

I have attached service bill. What do you guys think about the cost? Do you think there is any unnecessary charge?

Since Jetta is a CKD car, it is made in some other country; disassembled there for export to India, and finally assembled here in India. I guess there will never be India option for Jetta. Try selecting the country your car was made in- you can know that from your VIN number

Jetta was scratched (Again) By a biker, So had sent it to the VW service center to get it repainted, Their painting place is on the second floor where they take the car via lift, Now after the work was done, While getting the car back down the lift got stuck and my car was stuck in the middle of nowhere for 3 days. Heights of being unlucky.

I think that's a fair bill for a D-segment car! I think I have come across 10K bills (on the forum) for Vento / Rapid etc and this is nothing high.

Two things that got my attention are

1. Lock cylinder lubricant :: What is this?
2. Mech care TMT :: Is this some additive?

These two are paltry sums, but for me this looks like the only unwanted bits.

Enjoy your car!
