Call it the City Effect, or Elantra price drop effect, or Verna on the horizon effect. GM is not taking it lying down.
They have unveiled a new plan for optra
3 Year 60,000kms 0 maintainance, which includes engine belt, Brake pads, engine oil and service. Not only that, there is a 3 year/45000kms buyback garuntee, whatever that means. Can somebody clarify the terms of that?

warranty for car??? or just the parts?

3 years maintenance is too good. but i have seen in some post that there is 20% dep each year for the buy back guarantee. There is defenitely some catch there!

but isn't it the normal way for these guys (insurance, dealers, resellers whatever) to calculate...20% depreciation per on-road year?

I guess there is a Trap behind that... one really needs to experience this 3 yrs extended service to belive it.

the scheme is something like if the car hasnt crossed three years and hasnt done more than 45000kms the owner can choose to sell the car back to the company.dont know abou the depreciation rate.

That does sound attractive. Its more like a lease, but all depends on what depreciation rate they use. How many are they selling a year at this point?
