I am highly sceptical of these claims. And claims is the problem itself - from day 1, they are only bragging & boasting. They have no experience, no infrastructure, no factory and no funding. Lest I forget, they don't even have a SINGLE WORKING PROTOTYPE that does any of the things they claim the car will.

The MMM group has finalised a 3.3 million Euros deal with the Tazzari group
What does this mean? So it's a ~21 crore deal for what? What is Mean Metal (gosh, what a name) paying them for? AFAIK, Tazzari has absolutely no experience in 'supercars' either.

It sure looks like some college boys are out to have some fun. It takes more than computer drawings to sell a supercar.

Re: Mean Metal M-Zero: An Indian Supercar. Fact or Fiction?

3 years later, still don't see at least a proof of concept.

Also, you do know that to commercially sell and produce a real road going vehicle, you have to pass government tests right ? Do these kids have the financial heft, expertise, and realistic capacity to pass a product requiring a government mandated test ?

An Indian startup Mean Metal Motors first electric supercar named Azani.

The company claims that Azani is capable of accelerating 0-100 kmph in less than two seconds at a top speed of 350 kmph. The supercar gets over 1,000 hp generating electric motors. It is also capable of running up to 700 km on a single charge, claims the manufacturer.

The startup claims it will bring in the first prototype in the second half of 2022. MMM's Azani would be priced at $120,000.

That Furai/458/tesla mashup must have a prototype, nay clay model, nay factory, nay workshop, nay 1:24 model at the very least if it is ready to come out next year.
This is the Freedom 251 super car.

$120000 for a car that really does not exists not even a clay model. All the images shown on the site are just a computer generated one.

I am sorry if I sound like a troll. Just browse the website and the very first thing you see is a huge invest button. Such a pathetic one.

Cherry on top is when you click the "team" in the website.

Not sure who are those best teams backing this guy.

Re: Mean Metal Motors Working on Indian 1000HP Electric Supercar

When you open a website and see a big button saying "INVEST". You close that website and run and run away from it. That is the first impression of MMM.

I will take all their claims with all the salt in the himalayas.

All the news portals mentioned in the website are 5 years old with nothing to show for.
Will believe it when I see the car on the road.

Didn't we see another major EV manufacturer "Nikola" making tall claims which ultimately turned out to be fraud.

AI + Proprietary materials + Micro-factories + the be(a)st Team - I can't imagine what could go wrong.

The hyperlinks on the website dont work - but the car is much simpler

Re: Mean Metal Motors Working on Indian 1000HP Electric Supercar

Wasn’t MMM working on ICE based supercar with a polish team working on the engine? I remember hearing about them in college which was 3-4 years ago.

The numbers don’t seem very unattainable from a physics perspective as Tesla model S already achieves a lot of these number despite being a luxury car.

However, this stuff is absolutely impossible in India. The only way would be get powertrain and batteries from Tesla or Rimac. Issue with that is that Tesla would never give that as can’t even spare some for Tesla roadster and Rimac’s powertrain would push the price way higher than 120k.

Usually in such scenarios the best team means 'Papa Mummy'!

Since an electric super car isn't traditional even from supercar countries, it will have more acceptance globally. If they are so passionate, I wish they change their course and make something that will sell and has a future.
Quoting myself from 5 years back and looks like they indeed changed course but looking at what they have been doing, which is basically nothing, it looks like a company which is readying to fool the retail investors just like Nikola did. No working prototypes in last 5 years, no tech showcase - just some computer generated images with a whole lot of fluff.
