What they need is a A/T in the XUV500. The Scorpio had it but I think it was withdrawn few years back. The XUV, however, at that price point will have a far better response then the Scorpio. Hope M&M bite the bullet this time.

They've been testing the XUV500 AT with the Aisin warner 6 speed box for a while now so it's definitely on the cards.

Just a call from Mahindra dealer Sireesh Auto, Bangalore and they told me that they have a facelift launch planned for 3 pm tomorrow.

Got called by Sireesh Motors, Bangalore for the launch in their showroom at 3pm tomorrow. The car will be available in the showrooms tomorrow. I was told test drive car will be available in 3 days.

I too checked with 2 dealers in chennai. They said the car is available in the showroom by 4 pm on 25/5/2015. One showroom said the AT is coming. The other said no. So the the suspense continues

* S shaped LED DRLS - atleast they look better than the aftermarket type ones in the present one

* Larger touch screen display system for odometer etc - bigger screen size will be a good advantage

* Update Infotainment system - I dont really like the interface while streaming music over bluetooth from my phone. I hope that is rectified.

* Keyless entry - Good addition.

You have to hand it to the marketing departments for their ingenuity. First, facelifts were called 'improved'. Somewhere down the line, they became 'all new' (when they actually weren't).

Mahindra called the 2014 Scorpio the 'next-gen' (when it wasn't), as did Tata with the GenX (generation-next) Nano.

As if that wasn't enough, now we're looking at the new age XUV500. I can predict what the new Bolero is going to be called. *Drums rolling* Presenting the next evolution Bolero.

hahaha.. new age/new gen/new tech/cutting edge... it means the car is supposed to run infinitely on the gas generated by the marketing department...i think adding a autobox to the Xuv can justify calling it new..

The Automatic is finally here? that's good news & unexpected considering most people confirmed it is not coming. Fingers crossed on the pricing & hope it is available in lower trims too

Engine specification is the same, Coming with new colours, facelifted car will be available at the NBS Showroom at chowpatty from 12.30 onwards to have a look, though test drive wont be available for a couple of days.
