If the part isn't readily available, there is no reason to mention assured delivery.
Parts for which actual pics have been posted on boodmo must be getting shipped in time, or is there a delay even in this case?

The pictures are there. They make no difference especially for Maruti since they have now pictures of many rare parts also. In my last order for Celerio fascia, they had a picture of an old and worn out part and then sent the same to me

Parts with actual pics only means the part have crossed them at one point of time. It doesn't mean that it will get dispatched sooner compared to others.

They click pics of a part before dispatching if it doesn't have an image on the link.

Regards,
Shashi

PS: If the part is in stock, it will show a discount/ dispatch within one day message/ seller name will appear as RA or TA or SAA. If a part isn't in stock, it won't show discount in most cases/dispatch day will be more than a day/seller name will appear as MGP/RA or MGP/TA or MGP/SAA. Hope I'm clear.

Online stores are a good source for DIY ers. I usually do the car service myself. My last car service was done using products completely using online stores (Duster 60k service).

Re: Would you buy Spares & Parts online?

For genuine FIAT spares - 99rpm.com

However, it won't come cheap or best price for that matter.

In my 2004 model, I had replaced the clutch set about two years ago - my FNG sourced a TVS Girling unit as replacement. Touch wood, no issues till date - have covered 10,000+ kms post clutch change.

If you are ordering from 99rpm, suggest you order for Selenia Gearbox oil also from them - so that you have a new clutch set with new gear oil.

Re: Would you buy Spares & Parts online?

Have 99RPM guys mended their ways or are they still horrible to deal with?

I have placed an order with them as there was no availability of few Bajaj spares locally. Hope they don't throw any tantrums!

Be warned of possible slow deliveries (average turnaround is 2 weeks for Fiat parts), late or no reply to your emails. Also, they have no customer care number. .

A friend recently bought multiple parts (worth ~15k) for his Linea. The order was shipped on 10th day and delivered on 12th day.

Have a look at boodmo.
https://boodmo.com/catalog/4250-fuel...-maruti-swift/

It may be readily available in service centers or MGP Stores so consider that aswell.

That Extension would lock on to the Body, so that one doesn't have to hold or look for places to keep the Cap during filling.
Ofcourse, it may not last long, as it is prone to damage after some time. I used to keep the cap on the Fuel Filler Lid on my Fabia after it broke.

Thank you. I was just about to order it from boodmo but the other thread - https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/modif...online-12.html (Best sites to buy parts online) - has some scathing reviews about boodmo. Does anyone else know any good site where I can get this. I really don't want to go to the neighbourhood store in these times.

It is not perfect, but, haven't seen anyone losing their money. The negative side is that delivery time is not accurate and many orders being cancelled because they are not able to source the part, however, refund is assured. So you may try your luck if you are in no hurry.

Re: Would you buy Spares & Parts online?

Will a tyre purchased online and fitted outside impact my warranty. The reason behind my asking is my tires are coming up for a change and at last service at ASC, they highlighted it and suggested I get it done through them ony to avoid risking void my warrantly. I still have about a year more left.
