Good point - Thoma!
But hair brained ideas do not require work, and also work in the form of "donations" from SIAM!

Such policies work well, if at all only in the advanced rich countries. Often, for them such schemes are the only option since they have already exhausted all others during their travel to become 'developed'.

In corruption ridden developing countries, plagued by poverty, inflation and unemployment such schemes look good only on paper. Neither the policy makers nor the companies attach much value to ethics and all are in it with the objective of making money.

Such grand schemes should be introduced only after India has exhausted all of its essential options like the development of an excellent public transport system, good roads and related infrastructure.
