Re: The Maruti-Suzuki Ignis

I don't really understand the thought process behind providing a CD player in this day and age. Especially if it's targeted at the youth segment.

Saw the car in full flesh, front looks impressive but the rear, plain bland boring.
Maybe it could have done with a better rear light design, possibly all LED
Front Is all modern and rear, a Fiat UNO

Pics to go, saw the car at lower Patel yesterday, alloys look good too and the paint had excellent finish!

Re: The Maruti-Suzuki Ignis

I checked out the car at Palladium, Mumbai. Looks really nice in the red-black combo and the legroom is also quite good for a car of its size. Sitting 3 people at the back is a bit of squeeze but overall, the car looks very impressive. Waiting for the pricing. I have currently booked the Alpha variant in the blue-black combo[Petrol]

Did you by chance happen to click a snap of the key fob / ignition button area? Does Alpha carry a smart key?

Notice the request sensor on the door handle in one of the pictures. So i believe the Alpha does carry the smart key.

The car had a start/stop button and It should have a smart key because as you can see in one of the pictures, there's a request sensor on the door. So it will have a smart key. I couldn't see the key itself but it should look similar to the S-Cross/Baleno smart key.

Re: The Maruti-Suzuki Ignis

Interesting find by Motor Trend regarding the pricing of the Ignis:

Quote:
The Ignis will be the entry-level car in the NEXA sales channel and will be priced well below the Baleno with a price difference going over Rs 1 lakh.
We expect the Ignis to start at Rs 4.3 lakh for the entry level Sigma petrol manual.
Its nearest competitor, the Mahindra KUV100 starts at Rs 4.7 lakh.

I dont think ignis will be priced below 4.8 lks as it has 1.2 vtvt, and a 1.3 dds. Wagor r with 1.0 has 4.3 lks price tag.May be an introductory offer can get to 4.5 if im lucky. Please dont cross 7 lks otr Hyderabad for delta amt petrol my wife will be really pissed if I get that tiny pony car beyond 7lks.

Re: The Maruti-Suzuki Ignis

Looks very interesting. I am thinking of going to a nearby NEXA and having a close look myself. This could become the replacement for my wife's K10.

A white-coloured top variant of the Ignis arrives at a dealer's stockyard.

Re: The Maruti-Suzuki Ignis

White looks totally devoid of any character. The lines are blurring. Do others feel the same way?

I liked it best in Red and Blue. Looks like the Ignis needs some pop to work.

But it ticks all the boxes for me and I look forward to the official review on this small wonder.

Thanks for the pics, my brother is looking for a Ritz replacement and might go in for this. Can you ask your source for some snaps with the LED Headlights switched on, low beam as well as high beam? Just want to see what it is.

So very true, white does miss all the design elements, maybe some stickering will help.

Mods, looks like this is another hugely anticipated one so simply asking, when can we get the review? Are you guys working on it or will it be delayed like that of Brezza?

Looking at the pictures and dimensions floating around, I'm pretty sure this car is top heavy. Its handling would be worse than the Ritz, probably slightly better than the current WagonR in the best case scenario. Though you should wait for the official review, I would suggest you look elsewhere if you are primary running is on the highway. This car is shorter and narrower than the Ritz, and I guess its taller too. On the flip side, if you want a city runabout with loads of bling/style, this is it.

Re: The Maruti-Suzuki Ignis

The IGNIS without Projector Head Lamps and DRL's may look like this:
Note the Colour of Alloys for Japan. Black colour may not suit for darker colours.

The Maruti-Suzuki Ignis-ignis-mg_zvr.jpg

Ignis, SIGMA Model may look like this. But there's no Music system for Indian Model.

The Maruti-Suzuki Ignis-screenshot_20170108145122455_com.android.chrome.png

The Maruti-Suzuki Ignis-ignis_mg.jpg

With a probability of 80-90% of bookings not going for Alpha Model, this would be the Car to look forward on the roads.
