Congratulations on your new car.

I also stay in thane. I own a Alto K10 and planning to upgrade to a petrol Sedan soon. Vento TSI ticks all the right boxes for me.

Can you please share the on-road price for your car, i am curious to know if the LBT is applicable.

Thanks for your wishes, linking. I did not import The alloys, they are the stock ones. The sales manager of VW told me that they are imported from Germany by VW itself and said their quality is far superior.

Will upload the pictures in a day(out of town today)

They are the standard VW alloys from the previous face-lift. I am probably going to sell the one on mine and go for an after market one.

Re: 2015 Volkswagen Vento Facelift : A Close Look

My MRF Zlo has done 40K kms. Now it is gotten really worse. Traveling in the Chennai-Bangalore stretch around Kanchipuram brought the worst out of the tyres. Looking to change.

Any good options in size 205/60 R15 ?(Other than Yoko S which I think will be equally hard).

The right size is 205 55 R15. Other option is Continental ContiMaxContact5 MC5. The tyre has good grip but is on the softer side.

Thanks el lobo 6061.
But with 205/55 doesn't the ride get harder due to low profile?
Also, what about the GC which is already low?

Just trying to understand as I am about to book a Vento TSI DSG.

Re: 2015 Volkswagen Vento Facelift : A Close Look

I was quite happy with my VW Vento diesel, except that I was feeling the need to have an automatic. Sice I had driven only 43K Kms in four years, felt that a petrol automatic is the best choice for my needs. Luckily, I was able to get a good price for my Vento diesel ( a spotlessly maintained car with Karlssons leather seats). Booked a Vento TSI HL with Phoenix cars, Calicut in the second week of January. Took delivery of the Toffee brown beauty on 28th January. Got the HU upgraded to Dynavin N6, the original was sold through OLX for 5200/. A week later converted the horn to a double horn set up at the dealership at a cost of 2K
This is the 2016 January manufactured car , before the auto dimming mirrors and rain sensing vipers were thrown in. Got the IRVM changed to Gentex auto dimming mirror at Vagtune , Kochi , at a cost of 15 K, which included change of the cabin light to one with two map reading lights. Sugesh did a neat job in less than 15 minutes. Quite a useful accessory.
I have done about 1400 Kms, in a month, one trip through the hilly terrain to Ooty and another one to Kochi. As many have mentioned in their ownership threads, the car is an absolute delight to drive with the fantastic DSG gear box. Hope to have many years of happy driving.

If ride quality and GC are priority, then I will suggest you to go in for 195 60 R15. The sidewall is 6 mm taller compared to stock size of 185 60 R15. So you get an added advantage of comfortable ride and higher GC.

The best pick in 195 60 R15 size would be Michelin Primacy 3ST.

205 55 R15 sidewall height is 112.75 mm compared to stock 185 60 R15, 111 mm. Ride wont get harder. Though given your priority, 195 60 R15 suits you better.

205 60 R15 has a diameter variance is of 3.8% and it is recommended to stay within 3%

Thanks Agree with you. 205 55 R15 is a better size as the diameter variance is less.
Also read on the forum that 195 60 R15 is pulling one side on Ventos.

I booked the car with VW - Autobahn, Navi Mumbai and got the best deal. But, Would refrain to quote the price on the forum. You can PM me on niranjan.avate@gmail.com and would be happy to share the contact details of the sales person there.

I have installed 195 60 R15 Michelin Primacy 3ST on my polo and it's really a good upgrade. Super silent ride and ride quality has gone a notch better.

Re: 2015 Volkswagen Vento Facelift : A Close Look

I love the ComfortLine variant of the new Vento. What attracts me are the lack of chrome and the black accent interiors. It does miss a couple of convenience features key among which is the bluetooth connectivity for the audio unit.

The piano black finish on the lower part of the front bumper in place of the chrome in the Highline looked way cool too.

The others are stuff like electrically folding ORVMs and auto dimming mirrors which I can live without.

Given the lack lustre designs of VW alloys anyway, buying a set of nice ones are a better option on the Comfortline.

Contemplating replacing my GT TDi but the power is just too addictive. . With a 75kg weight penalty not sure the Vento is gonna come close. Will have to resort to a remap to get the same kick.

Drive on,
Shibu.

Couldn't agree more with you Shibu. The 1.6 GT TDi is a special car and going in of an upgrade can play all sort of tricks on you to find the right match

But with the way VW has been trickling changes/updates periodically (POLO), I would hold on to the current version until they finally decide to get real

I think you already have remapped your GT and have the bilsteins installed as well, yet you are looking towards Vento as an upgrade?

I think you gotta be gunning for the Cruze now.
