I wear prescription glasses as well. You do get polaroid sunglasses with prescription. You should check with your optician.

There is one problem to it. In an event of air bag deployment for Co-Driver, there will be obstruction by the cover.

Better avoid it for safety reasons.

2015 Volkswagen Vento Facelift : A Close Look

Some dealers say new model with LED lights is expected around April 2017.

Current discount on Vento should be around 75k. Expect more discount next month (December).

That's what I was told when I enquired about the face-lift. Since I could not wait that long I went ahead and bought it. Discounts will increase next month for sure however availability of all colours will be in question.

Re: 2015 Volkswagen Vento Facelift : A Close Look

On Sunday I checked the tools provided with my new Vento and was surprised that reflective hazard triangle is not part of the set. Does any other Vento come with it?

I can't find it on online stores. I think this is an essential safety device.

It's mandatory to provide it. Your dealer has forgotten this.

I have a April 2011 Vento and it never came with it. Still same applies.

Thanks for the responses. Changing tyre on driver side can get very scary. I have asked service centre for the warning triangle. I will get it somehow or improvise.

So I checked my tool kit in my new Vento TSI and I found the warning triangle. If this is what you meant then please check with your dealers.

Is this a good buy? This is for my cousin who wants a diesel sedan.
I think he/she should wait for couple of months and get a 2017 model. And if you are tight on finance, then try to get near to 2 lakhs discount for the post May 2016 model. As it's the year end, there are fair chances of getting that for the older engine. I would suggest not to consider the 2015 model at all, unless there is a discount for about 3L and even then, make sure that TeamBHPs guidelines for buying a new car with old manufacturing date is followed.

Re: 2015 Volkswagen Vento Facelift : A Close Look

Any news on the update with LED Lights? It is high time we get that car, VAG.
When you do that, please also give us Apple CarPlay. It will help distinguish Vento from Ameo/Polo. And yes, please don't forget the Reversing Camera - to charge premium over Skoda Rapid.

My requirements are also exactly the same , Now I have decided that my next car needs to have full fledged Apple CarPlay . I think CarPlay can only get better with each new update . I have a question regarding CarPlay - Do we have to keep the iPhone unlocked all the time while using CarPlay ?

It doesn't really matter whether the iPhone is locked or unlocked because upon connecting the USB, the phone will start charging.
But yes, it needn't be unlocked - you can check .
Hope this helps.
