Re: 2015 Audi Q3 Facelift : A Close Look

Sadly, The Bang and Olufsen Advanced Sound System isn't listed even as an optional equipment.

Also, Audi seems to have discontinued the Technology variant on this facelifted Q3. I had seen the Technology variant listed on CarDekho.com prior to the 2015 facelift.

The link you shared of the pre-facelift model.

This is the latest one:

Thanks vb-san for the pointer. B&O Sound system isn't available as optional equipment as per the latest brochure as well.

Any reason why parking sensors have replaced the front fog lamps?
I kind of liked where the fog lamps were earlier. Also, aesthetically the absence of fog lamps doesn't look pleasing. I feel like something is missing.

As per the brochure, front fog lamps are halogen units integrated into the front apron. Does it mean fog lamps are now part of the LED cluster?
If that is true, aren't fog lamps supposed to be placed as low as possible?

Re: 2015 Audi Q3 Facelift : A Close Look

Has anyone in this forum bought the 2015 Q3?
Kindly help by providing reviews/ pictures.
I understand the changes are more subtle and not mechanical ones.

Had a quick question regarding the colors available on Q3. The brochure does not mention anything about Monsoon grey, has it been discontinued?

Re: 2015 Audi Q3 Facelift : A Close Look

Audi seems to have great interiors as far as International magazine (Topgear UK, motortrend US etc) mentions. But I find this 38+ Lakh car's interior is nowhere near as the new i20.

May be the Audi is better screwed together but this is far less appealing.

The top end model features inbuilt Navigation, including a 20 GB hard disk for storing map data. The maps are supplied by Navteq to Audi AG. We were told that customers can get the maps updates once in 6 months from dealerships (not sure if there are any costs involved). The navigation module is accessed by pressing the dedicated NAVI button on the central dash. The inbuilt storage can be used for storing audio files too:
Attachment 1381617

The MMI screen for the top end model is bigger and has a higher resolution:
Attachment 1381620

MMI Screen for rest of the trims. Can you notice that it's smaller in size than the top end one?
Attachment 1381614

After entering into the Navigation mode, one can select a destination from the saved routes or enter a new route using the speller:
Attachment 1381615

Quite a few options to play around with for the selected route:

The navigation worked nicely on the interior roads of Goa most of the time. Only once did it miss an obvious turn and on another instance it asked us to proceed through a dead end. Rerouting worked nicely in both situations. There is no satellite imagery overlay on the maps for the Indian spec navigation module:
Attachment 1381618

The best part of the Navigation module is that the upcoming route instructions are shown in the instrument console area, right in your field of vision. That means no taking your eyes off the road to repeatedly look at the MMI for guidance:

Just took delivery of the new audi q3,top edition ie premium plus, but the navigation maps are not there in it.The dealer says that it is only present in a different version of the premium plus which costs 3 lacs more .Is this true and if so it is ridiculous.Any help appreciated.

May I ask if you car come with the 6 1/2 inch screen?

MMI Navigation is optional on the Premium + variant.

Re: 2015 Audi Q3 Facelift : A Close Look

Audi, asking for 3 lakhs extra for the navigation feature is ridiculous. In todays times, it is no more a premium feature. It should come as a standard feature across all the trim levels.

Audi, should inform the media at the time of the launch and test drive about the likely extra price for the navigation feature , so that the media can correctly report the exorbitant price.

Anybody has any update if and when Audi plan to launch a petrol TFSI version of the Q3.

Thanks.

Re: 2015 Audi Q3 Facelift : A Close Look

I use the top end Premium Plus Q3 since October 2014 - I do not see anything enticing in the "updated version"

The car drives like a dream or like a beast on steroids, dpending on the right foot :-)

Great car... (Y) Great review

Cheers

Re: 2015 Audi Q3 Facelift : A Close Look

Hello BHPians,

We recently got a Q3. I have a few questions I was hoping someone could answer!

1. How do you access the park assist? I don't think this particular model has this feature at all.

2. How many speakers does the car have?

3. Does the boot open electrically?

4. Does the car come with headlamp washers?

5. Does it have anti pinch windows?

6. What version of the car do I have? (Premium, s etc.)

Thanks in advance.

Congratulations! The recent facelifted Audi Q3, is a great looking SUV. Got a chance to see one this weekend. The interiors are of soft plastic and very high quality. The feel when one sits in, is very nice. Everything is so well placed inside. The large sun / moon roof is also a cool feature.

I was told there are 3 variants available post recent facelift of the Q3; 1st is 2x4 while the other 2 variants are 4x4 (Quattro). Which one did you get?

Did you get an extended warrantee? Is there any optional service pack (like BMWs BSI) available from Audi?
