ZF Friedrichshafen appoints Suresh K. V. as India country head

ZF Friedrichshafen has announced that is has appointed Mr. Suresh K. V. as the new country head of its India operations. In this role, Mr. Suresh K. V. will be responsible for the performance and development of all lines of business for ZF in India, as well as for the operations in ZF India Pvt. Ltd.

Suresh K. V. is a graduate engineer from REC Calicut (presently NIT Kozhikode) and a PGDMM from SP Jain Institute of Management Mumbai. He started his career in 1989 with Asian Paints Limited and has worked with Bajaj Auto, Visteon India and Philips. He has been working with ZF since 2007 and was appointed as the Executive Director of ZF Wind Power Coimbatore Ltd. in 2010.

ZF has been operating for more than three decades in the Indian market. Currently, ZF’s presence in India consists of nine plants spread across Pune, Pantnagar, Gurgaon, Chennai, Coimbatore and Madurai, and roughly 3,000 employees.

Any idea about the AMT kits they're going to supply to Hyundai, Renault and Datsun?

There's going to be a strong demand for AMT kits over the next few years. If ZF can locally assemble these kits, they can bag orders from other manufacturers as well.

Magneti Marelli already have a head start in the AMT business. With Ricardo also getting into the fray, there is no dearth of competition for ZF Friedrichshafen in this field. They'll have to hurry up if they don't want to lose business.
